The 2022-23 PGA TOUR season has reached the finale. East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, will host the TOUR Championship with the best players from this season all competing for the PGA TOUR’s ultimate prize. This will be a no-cut event, with the top 30 players beginning on their FedExCup Starting Strokes based on where they are in the FedExCup standings. Scottie Scheffler leads the field at 10-under par this week. He’ll look for redemption after playing the last five holes in 1-over par last week, as Viktor Hovland captured the BMW Championship. Scheffler has been the most consistent player on TOUR this season with 15 top-10 finishes and knows how to deliver on the big stage. Rory McIlroy starts at 7-under this week and will be looking to become the first player to win four FedExCups and the first to defend a FedExCup title. He played well for a T-4 finish last week at the BMW Championship and has three top-10 finishes alongside his three titles at East Lake. Others to look out for are Jon Rahm (6-under), Patrick Cantlay (4-under) and Max Homa (4-under).

Apart from the odd individual bending the rules on the course golf is such a fair sport – you play well you move up the leader board – you don't you move down – no protection from officials – you against the course. Scottie had a bad one – he will be back, to good not to be. After watching the debacle of the boxing so refreshing to watch pure sport. BTW – Rory had better see the physio before getting on the plane to Rome!
