Monahan’s background is Sales, Marketing etc. Sadly, but predictably, he broke his word to the PGA players by rolling over to the highest bidder—the Saudis. No doubt, he maintains that there is more to it, than just money. Really? The Saudis fully understand the greed that is foundational to much, if not most, of the American psyche. Indeed, the human psyche. I am grateful to the players, like Jon Rahm, who cannot be bought. Monahan was once grateful to them, too; or so he said.
