  1. I’d feel the swing so much better if I was a trail hand-dominant guy rather than a lefty. I do however enjoy having a very limited selection of golf clubs at the store.

  2. Holding back release is a nationwide illness. It makes by back hurt just watching these guys do it

  3. I had an instructor absolute wreck my swing once by telling me you shouldn’t release and the rotation is the only thing that squares the face. Absolutely nonsense. If you don’t release, not only will the face be open but also the leading edge will be raised. Impossible to get solid contact.

  4. I don't rotate my hand when I shake hands. My right thumb is pointed up when I reach out. Am I shaking hands inccorrectly?

  5. Every decent player has a golf club that is translating forward, turning toe over the heel and clubhead advancing forward as the grip cap goes back.

If you lack the toe rotation you have to square the face by more clubhead advancing aka scooping. Which shears the face across the ball, raises the leading edge off the ground. Aka a pull-shot attitude.

If you lack the clubhead advancing the loft shuts down excessively and closed and makes timing finicky. The leading edge jams into the turf, the dynamic loft comes down way too much and there isn’t as efficient transfer of energy.

If you lack the club translating, the lie angle flattens excessively, the face closes, the hands as a unit pause in space, and the clubhead flip rolls shut.

You must balance all 6 dimensions of club motion to reduce the timing demands that come from excessive reliance on one dimension.

  6. Good video – do you think a good downswing feeling is just to let the arms come down quickly and also let the wrists unhinge ?

If you have recentred properly and have tilted the hips correctly, the body should in theory just react in the correct sequence to the arms β€œfiring” hard ?

  7. Find it difficult to do this, instead of shaking hands with the target I usually give the target a good uppercut. πŸ˜‚

  8. I've only ever had 4 lessons. First two the instructor moved my left hand an inch and told me to hit balls with my 7 iron and when I hit one good shot after about 30-40 bad ones he would go. 'told you'. Second instructor kept telling me to just "bring it down" but wouldn't tell me what or where to bring it down. Put me off so started searching YouTube for answers which in hindsight made things worse. But really feel as if I'm getting somewhere and improving watching you guys.
