Hybrids! Must use clubs for 99% of us! Use them correctly and start lowering your scores
Any help for golfers that are older(think knees/back) etc, that struggle with body turns…have a bum knee…and arthritic back..
Hi Alex as a now senior player I have recently been playing a half set of eleven hybrids and while the 3 and 5 are not great compared to a leading brand the 7 and 9 are amazing. I have also found at the local charity shop a Thomas 7 hybrid and its so good. Any chance of a review of Thomas hybrids for older folk before I make payment for a set.

I'm a believer. I carry a 4, 6 and 7 hybrids and my longest iron is a 7 iron. I have much more confidence in the hybrids. I'm a 19 handicap.

Nice video Alex. I’m a PGA member, still coaching, approaching my 70th birthday and have the usual DOB issues of knee replacements etc that have lead to loss of swing speed and over the past few years have gravitated to higher lofted fairways and hybrids. I currently game ping g425 5/7/9 wood and g425 5/6/7 hybrids in order to get the ball flight I want. And now, I’m seriously considering swapping out my Mizuno 8-P with Cleveland halo xl simply for ease of use and enjoyment! Would you agree with this thought or am I just getting old and senile 😂
Weight distribution 60 front/40 back. What about weight distribution heel to toe? I find if my weight is more toward my toes, strikes are worse. Heel to toe, should it be "flat" foot? More 60/40 toward instep?

Excellent suggestion Alex on how to use and why the hybrid should be used by the amateur. Since becoming a senior golfer, I have given up on my 3,4,5 iron and switched to same number hybrids. What a world of difference these clubs made in my distance and quality of shots. They have given me an added confidence that my longer irons were taking away. Highly recommended that two or three hybrids be put in every amateurs bag. Well done Alex.
Great points….yeah rarely use 5 iron (in rough) ……4 and 5 hybrid especially on par 5s give you a chance for birdie and/or eagle opportunity. 😎
Hi Alex. Love the idea but I'm not sure how these hybrid clubs work when you play from the roughs and also on the tee box. I would love to find at least one to hit 200 yards on par 3 so I can take away my 4 iron. Maybe you can show how to hit them from the roughs and on the tee in your new tips sometime. I'll give it a try, I've pretty much gave up on my hybrids. I find myself needing to use a fareway driver or a 4 iron quite a bit. Been having better consistency with my big Bertha,iron

Great video Alex!! I had another great day at my Senior Tournament, as I shot 69!! Had 7 birdies, 4 bogeys, the rest pars, 29 putts with two 3 putts! I could have shot my age at 67! Maybe next week. Last week I shot 70! Do you have any suggestions for 3 hybrids? Cheers!
Great information, love all the tips and drills you provide. I just started golfing in March and find myself topping a lot of balls. Hopefully with practice and your tips, I will be able to correct this. I do have trouble getting height with my irons. Everything is a work in progress.
Excellent advice Alex. I see a lot of club golfers now replacing 5 & 6 irons with hybrids a few have even replaced the 7 iron. The thing is WHEN others see the results they get converted.

Recently I've been torn between a long iron, driving iron or hybrid. I like the look of an iron so I got the driving iron, shaft too short need new one, so I have the hybrid in the bag. Only club I can get up in the air to hold greens from 200+ out

I have a Cobra King Tec @ 25.5° and just awaiting the same at 21°. These fully adjustable hybrids are a joy to hit, even better than my Radspeed which I loved. Great tips for that slight downward AoA!
Alex, I just played a 3 man scramble with two old guys from the club and we hit 18 UNDER PAR… almost a hole in one and albatross too! Bought had a heart attack Sunday hahaha
What do you think about other hybrids like 7,8,9? They sell those too.
Unfortunately the worst club in my bag by a wide margin, hence I have abandoned it. Several lessons have been worse than useless.
