Custom Fit Irons vs Off The Rack Irons | TaylorMade P790 vs Callaway Paradym

This custom fit irons vs off the rack irons comparison features Isabella McCauley, a member of the University of Minnesota golf team. Her custom fit irons feature the 2021 TaylorMade P790 irons. But as a female player, we had her test a set of Callaway Paradym irons with women’s flex shafts.

This video illustrates the importance of getting custom fit clubs. Isabella McCauley joins 2nd Swing’s Drew Mahowald for an in-depth comparison of her gamer irons, the TaylorMade P790 irons, vs the Callaway Paradym irons with women’s flex shafts.

  1. It's actually not a big difference in this case, I expected more. Less spin I guess. Dispersion was quite good considering you deleted the bad one for gamer but didn't for the shelf one.

  2. I think there was a real missed opportunity in this video. Each video on this series should focus on one aspect of getting fit, the driver highlighted shaft and this one should have highlighted lie angle. The analysis was a bit arbitrary considering you omitted the long left on her gamer, and yet you included the atypical miss on the off the rack. Kinda forced a point that may or may not have validity.

  3. The only problem I have is removing shots for the p790 to make sure they are all good defeats the purpose. If you remove the the far right shot from the Paradym the dispersion is pretty close to the P790

  4. Complaining about loft. She is getting extra 10 Yards with every shot. Drop down to 8 Iron for a closer loft.. The normal Degree Difference between these clubs is 1.5 Degree's

  5. More distance the better. Going to be more accurate swinging an 8 iron for 160 vs a 6 iron only going 160
