The cheap bike challenge – Who’s $148 MTB will last the longest? Me and Tom Isted ride Silverstar bike park in Canada using cheap Walmart bikes on Downhill tracks and dirt jumps to see who’s bike will last! Would you ride this?
Walmart never gets old, especially when the cheap bikes are involved. I bought two bike bikes for $300 so that me and Tom Isted could have a cheap bike challenge at Silverstar bike park in Canada. We rode a dual slalom race track, a black jump line up the top of the mountain and even a technical downhill black run which got quite gnarly on these bikes. After surviving the DH trails we then tried the pumptrack for some full speed riding followed by some dirt jumps and random craziness to see who would be the winner of the challenge! Would you ride this bike?

As entertaining as this video was, we don't need more videos to prove that big box store bikes are not meant to be ridden on trails like this. I mean at least with Berm Peak Express or what was Seth's Bike Hacks, he upgraded from super cheap $150 bikes to the Kent Trouvaille and the new Ozark Trail MTB.
Rigid bikes are better at that price.

With all your knowledge and experience testing cheap bikes I really think you should have your own cheap bike signature made with the brands that support you…why don't you think about creating the best quality cheap bike someone could find in the market with a good price?it could be the good first step before being able to afford the good ones…

I was born and raised in Vernon, have ridden for 28 years and have never once been to silver star in the summer. There are too many good trails around the Kal lake and Predator ridge area. Not to mention the number of unlisted trails that we build for the locals.

When Tom calls Sam crazy for doing the first drop all I could think of was , you did a 100ft double(then flipped it) on a frame you bought from ebay Oo.
