Going to a “white” private school is a weird flex. It’s like he’s equating physical proximity to whiteness as giving him membership is some kind of exclusive club. What he doesn’t seem to understand is that it’s a club that not everyone would be excited to be a member of. It’s more sad than anything else.
I’m half Sierra Leonean and half Nigerian. And to be truthful I’m sometimes disappointed in some of my ignorant African people. I educated myself on all the social issues affecting my black American brothers and sisters and I’m still learning.
