Liverpool surely needed a holding midfielder but that was looking into the future & putting pressure on the current holding midfielder. But that situation changed drastically after fabinho chose saudi league. Now Liverpool needed a holding midfielder who could straight away get into the team & also be the future of that holding position. When the situation changed liverpool's offer money also changed. Now it's who's going to offer more. Liverpool have clearly given their offer & I don't think they'll just blindly increase that offer.

To sign a player of quality, a Club needs to make a personal agreement with the player them self concerning wages and contracts. It's like applying for a job, you need to have an agreement with your employee on wages otherwise it's slavery. Liverpool the lazy thieves didn't even speak to the player. They only plan to outbid Chelsea and know Brighton would accept the highest bidder regardless of the players interest. Liverpool know that caceido is extremely underpaid and they intend to take advantage of the players desperation for a decent wage. Liverpool will probably offer him whatever they like maybe around 90million or 80 million and caicedo will be in no position to negotiate as long as he agrees to join Liverpool. But my guy isn't that desperate, he isn't a slave. Brighton must sell him to Chelsea because that's what he wants and it's in his best interest. Chelsea only need to match Liverpool's offer. Caceido will only consider Liverpool if Chelsea lose interest. That's fact. It's not up to Brighton.

Chelsea are a disgrace and are already being investigated and the Premier League need to investigate this also. Brighton are losing everyone's respect because they set the deadline…. Liverpool won it and an agreement was accepted. Brighton could and should have told Chelsea that's it and they will not accept any further bids from them!!!

well, Chelsea doesn't qualify for CL or Europa? then the jinx thing on Fifa fair play (FFP) coming into the picture, t seems that his agent is playing a punk until Chelsea has to let go another 2 players in order to purchase (even with 80m is already problem under FFP). looking at this situation, Brighton might need to keep him for another season.
