Brett Veach doesn't like to spend mega money on players who will be in their 30's except Mahomes. Even Kelce doesn't make mega money and he could.

There is a lot of youth on the defensive line and I believe it is likely that someone or two are going to come up big. Last year we all worried about the back of our defense and the wide receivers. Every year it is something new and next year it will be something else. As long as this team stays young, it will keep improving.

Chiefs paid Berry. I wanted them to pay Berry. I watched the whole team suffer because he ate the money that could have gone to 2 or 3 all-pros instead of a hole in the ground. Did he deserve it? Sure. Did it destroy the Chief's chance to go deep into the playoffs? Also, yes. Chris Jones is going to lose money and legacy if he doesn't take what they are offering and get back out there, asap.
In Veach we trust, hopefully the youth in the D-line steps up!!

I'm over Jones too..one player isn't bigger than the team..Pat Mahomes is the 8th highest paid QB..Kelce who is more of a WR gets paid as a TE..Those 2 players are bargains in today's NFL! Patrick Mahomes isn't taking less $$$ so Chris freaking Jones can get the whole bag..Patrick is taking leass $$$ because there's other guys to pay too like say Creed Humphrey,Nick Bolton,Trevor Smith..With Sneads knee situation I'm out on signing him long term but
Let him play his last year out and tag/trade him to get something out of him..That frees up 20 plus million in cap space off the books..Draft his replacement or sign a different free agent for less money kinda like they are doing with Donavon Smith..If he's even top 15 LT this year he's a steal on his contract..Brett Veach has a formula that works..And outside Mahomes the names on the back aren't important to him .Wish the Royals could and would learn the exact same thing

Belicek- 20M, Peter Carrol – 15M, Sean McVay 14M, Mike Tomlin & Andy Reid- 12.5M. Andy isn't even restricted by salary cap, he just honors his contract. Bet the next one is bigger but likely not largest. He service the culture for those that want to win and be rich as opposed to lose and be rich.

Out of the 10 elite clubs chiefs are probably one of the cheapest organizations. They wont pay cj. They wont pay anyone, not even mahomes lmao.They’ll franchise him.
