TBH this time problem is with the no. of ODI's played by India. Back to back 2 t20 wc's were played nd focus was completely shifted from ODI's. When Bilaterals were played core grp and captain rested.
Last Proper ODI series was against aus where core grp played nd till then shreyas and Rahul were almost fixed for no. 4 nd 5.
Both got injured and after that IPL,WTC final took place. So Indian team got no opportunites to test their replacements and now when there are very few matches left we expect to produce a player out of no where who can play responsibly at No. 4 and 5 .
India should give long run to Sanju at 4 if KL and shreyas are not available.
Time for experiments are gone now.
