Golf Pressure Shift

Shifting pressure from foot to foot – appropriately timed – is essential in building power and control in your golf swing. Like many things, too much is harmful. Once your centre of pressure shifts to the side too much, especially in your backswing, then it becomes a sway, which will cause loss of power and control.

  1. Excellent insight Peter on keeping the body centered with a golf pressure shift rather than a weight sway! I try to keep centered by moving the pressure to the inside of my right foot on the backswing and then to the inside of the left foot on the downswing. I feel if I move either to the outside of the feet than a sway is likely to occur! Good Job Peter! Keep up the good work!
