  1. I loved Brodie from 2012-2018. His best days are far in his rear-view mirror. The last really good game he played was against a very young and inexperienced Tim English in Round 1 2020. He and his manager bent our club over with that ridiculous 7 year deal.

  2. There is no way I am solving Melbourne's problem for them by taking Grundy's off their hands. 7 years of Grundy on huge money is an awful contract. They can pay half his salary, or throw in pick 4 if they want to try and offload him.

  3. Y'all need to realise that Collingwood will still be paying for his contract if he attends a third club, they will never get out of that.

  4. Don’t change the fixture. What’s the point of the top 4 playing each other just before and during finals? Don’t change the fixture list because West Coast mismanaged their list and their club as a whole.

  5. Poor Grundy man , wish he was still at Collingwood but i think the right choice was made if the decision was it was either him or degoey had t go . He should leave Melbourne though

  6. Pick 1 from us for Demons pick, Freo pick and Grundy and or Van Royen? With another pick going to demons to?

  7. They should be asking why Grundy is nowhere near the player he was 5 years ago. Seems to lack energy or something. Was really bad at Pies in his last few years.

  8. Brody was a great ruckman for only 2-3 years max. He was vastly overpayed and qualified what he produced. I remember when it was always Max vs Brody for the best ruckman but it was always Gawn that could do more.

  9. Melbourne has picked up 2 good players in Brodie Grundy and Ben Brown and have been unable to make them work. Time to trade them and open up the salary cap for other players.

  10. Ben Brown is just too slow at ground level now, no real impact in the game either. I'd take Grundy over Brown any day of the week even though they are completely different players.

  11. If i was melbourne I would try do a direct swap with Carlton, Grundy for McKay. Carlton need a ruck, Melbourne needs a forward both on about the same wage.

  12. Sorry to do this but eddie needs to move on from this show… it's literally all about him and he talks way to much… stick to your 5pm show

  13. Should have gone to Port Adelaide 12 months ago, been saying it all year. They'd be top of the ladder if they had Grundy in their midfield. Port still may win the flag anyways but theyd be certainties with Grundy i feel.

  14. Fair enough, but what if Gawn (who has become injury-prone in the last couple of years) goes down, Grundy steps up & carries the Dees deep into September or to a premiership.. entirely possible

  15. Grundy is a good player and seems like a good guy but I feel like he's a bit of a victim of his own greed. He milked the pies for more than he should have been paid, threatening to go back home which he had never intended. I'm all for getting your value, but that was cynical and now he's got extra coin but is 2nd fiddle and might miss a flag
with a club he wanted to stay at.

  16. Geez Barrett grab a brain. Its not difficult. Melb has had a dysfunctioning for 3 of the last 4 years. Heading for finals they're desperately trying to get something to work. Moving Peitraccha up forward. Seeing if Brown can run into form. Sure Gawn hasn't worked consistently up forward, but they need to get the forward line going. Its getting serious now. So they will give Grundy a go upforward for VFL to develop more in that area. Gawn will have a break before the finals for sure. But Gawn/Grundy will need to fire up forward if both are going to play. They can't keep dominating games but not get the goals on the board. That's the motive. Why does Barrett keep on stirring up controversies when they aren't there.

  17. Don't worry Melbourne, you'll probably pick up Nick Daicos in 3 years time when Collingwood are forced to offload him.

  18. Everytime I hear about Brodie Grundy not working in Melbournes team, I can't stop thinking how the Western bulldogs mucked up getting Rory lobb on a mill$ vs paying some of Brodies contract and getting him chopping out Tim English/ resting forward.

Even though Brodie isn't a proven tall forward, he could tap it to the small or craftier talls. The midfield would be able to set around him too. :s :s

Would probably have nullified their goal post clearance deficiency ?

  19. You just know gawn will get injured the second they sell Grundy. It's Murphy's Law

  20. Goodwin was on record two weeks ago saying they aren't trading him, but 'This is not speculation' – more absolute trash from the panel of morons on channel 9.

  21. Trade Rumour
