Nate Edwardson Has Gone Too Far …

Nate Edwardson golf crossed the line in his last video. In this video I breakdown Micah Morris’s performance in the Osprey Valley Open, a PGA Tour Canada event. With no sugar coating, biases, or ulterior motive, I address the Micah Morris situation.

  1. i understand what you are saying but he knows he is not ready to be on the PGA, he has said " i'm just trusting the process". If he was good enough he would all ready be there. People send years trying to make it. I don't understand why people just expect him to turn pro over night or quit ? Ask Michael Block how long it took him to have a chance on the PGA and get back to me?

  2. pro players will fire back to back 65's followed by a 68. if shooting a 66 is the round of your life, you're still an amazing player, but you gotta somehow turn those 68's into a standard round

  3. I love watching Micah and have for years. I'm going to say something that probably won't be popular but I'll say it just the same. About a year or so ago Micah lost his draw either on purpose or as a result of so much new equipment and/or lessons. In my opinion, his game has gotten worse since losing the draw. He had a very predictable ball flight and used it to devastating effect. Its gone…

  4. He drives the ball really far, the rest of the game needs work. I think he needs more tournament experience. You can put all the work in, play lights out when you're out with the boys, but then get to high profile tournament and the nerves set in and the pressure is on, its way different. I think he can do the youtube thing and purse this path if he delegates the time consuming parts of youtube out. He just needs to play in more tournaments and get in more pressure situations in addition to working on parts of his game.

As far as Nate goes. I was a huge fan of his until he became a Good Good shill. He seemed so genuine before that, now it all seems forced and it's just not the same.

  5. The reality of the situation is that Micah is already behind the eight ball trying to play pro. The minor league golf tour in Florida has DEEP fields in the bigger multi-day tournaments and low 60’s sometimes doesn’t even get it done unless you string 2-3 days in a row. Played with Wyndham Clark’s Oregon teammate in the Florida open qualifier the other month and he didn’t make a single mistake on the golf course. +6 hdcp and he still doesn’t cash consistently one the minor league tour. My point is that a battle tested too D1 player who plays for a living every single day still has to grind it out and struggle with mini tour, a YouTuber with little competitive experience can’t afford to not being playing 8 hours a day every day and devoting his life to just catching up to the guys he’s currently competing with… forget about CPGA, korn ferry, a school and what ever else he has his eyes on, he isn’t even close to the level that these guys on minor leaguer tours play at. He has all the coaches, taylormade tour department, funding from sponsors etc… Is he continues to do YouTube the way that he’s doing it, he will never be good enough to play consistently even on a mini tour. Playing with Bob does sports and traveling around to make content is just not going to cut it.

  6. I think Nate Edwardson Golf is a great example for those trying make your break.

Suck up kiss ass and stroke off a group of complete strangers. Hes trying hard to move out of his basement suite in the 604.

  7. Just found you on my recommended list. I like your stuff. Subscribed 👍
I agree, Micah needs to take baby steps up the ladder. I’m curious to see how this poor performance on the tour will affect his channel….and his golf.

  8. I’ve only seen a few videos of Micah’s and I never thought once that he would be good enough to play on the PGA. He needs to stay in his lane!

  9. Why does he have to change? Your idea of tough love is limiting… Aspirations of playing professionally, your idea of pressure is why you didn't make it professionally no pun. Pressure is in the head – self manifested – it's not where you can see it…

In that tournament there was several former div 1 talents and junior am stars that missed the cut. James Nichols misses alot of cuts and has amateur pedigree but no one is giving him stick cause he don't have a youtube channel like micah does. (The same exposure.)

Micah is on his own journey, his videos are about golf, I don't see how that really takes away from him evolving how well plays golf. To think otherwise is limiting. For everyone to say he has to do it their way just shows how insecure most men have gotten. I think to fail and it be out there in the open is admirable, many people that comment don't have the balls to go after what they want. They just sit on their keyboards and spew shit.

  10. Advice should be STOP RUSHING!!!! The Short Game is a thousand times more important than hitting driver. He is a 5 to 8 handicap not a Pro. Youtubers don't test themselves in a REAL competitive environment. They mostly play Buddy Golf or improve their games with editing. Playing with your Buddies isn't the same, the pressure is totally different. I was a +2 on the Cleveland Mini Tour and still couldn't win one dam Tournament, it's different. You are one of the True Transparent Golfers on Youtube.

  11. Finally someone that speaks the truth! I’ve been drug more than once about my opinion on this subject. I was even contacted by one in his inner circle about being so negative. I’m not being negative, I’m telling the truth. He’s surrounded by “yes people” and that is poison. Go watch the match he played against the tour guys that absolutely chirped them the entire time. That should have been it for him then.

  12. I’ll just leave this here for you all to process read the Dunning Kruger theory. It explains his entire mindset to the letter. You don’t know what you don’t know.

  13. Spot on Dougie. You made some really good points. I hope he listens and has a serious heart to heart with himself and his wife. I don’t know if he can make a good living playing pro golf. But I believe he could make a really good living as a content creator/influencer, especially where he is in that space right now.
