The Chicago White Sox fell in a nail-biter Tuesday night in the series opener versus the Texas Rangers. Despite trading Lucas Giolito and Lance Lynn prior to the MLB Trade Deadline, no one could blame the pitching for this loss. Jesse Scholtens stepped into a starting role and pitched admirably, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits in 6 innings of work. The offense, however, came out flat after trading Jake Burger earlier in the day to the Miami Marlins. The Sox managed just 3 harmless singles off of the Rangers.

How is Jerry feeling these days? Sure hope he is a man of his word where he left it in his will to have the estate sell the team to an owner with the desire to win. The same owner that will hopefully tear down our current front office and build a complete new one with sound baseball minds. Then allow those guys to bring in actual baseball managers, coaches, trainers, and staff that can actually develop players/prospects…
Everyone complains, but unfortunately this isn't going to change in 2024, 2025… Rick needs to be fired for suggesting that first place within the division is in reach simply because the division is "weak." Thats not acceptable. They need to compete with the best. This team can not and will not be able do that under current management and most likely under current ownership.
