Hawthorn has pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season to stun premiership favourites Collingwood by 32 points at the MCG on Saturday night.
The Hawks kicked the first five goals of the game, absorbed every challenge presented by the Magpies and never relinquished the lead to bank the most impressive win yet under Sam Mitchell’s watch 16.9 (105) to 11.7 (73).

Biggest upset of the season?
Collingwood had some great offensive pressure but Hawthorn were just sensational. Sam Mitchell should be proud. The biggest downside for Hawthorn though was when they gave Collingwood 2 goals without a centre bounce. That’s when I thought the Pies would start running away with it. But No, Well done Hawthorn.

Pies supports are so silly hawks get done up all the time and no fans leave the game but with Collingwood: there were 62k people in the stadium but then went down to 20k

As a Hawks fan, I'm glad to see us end a pretty poor season with an amazing win over the premiership favorites. And what a team goal playing like soccer players at the start of the third quarter. Great win Hawks!!!
