Day 10 at Detroit Lions Training Camp: Defensive Dominance!

The Detroit Lions treated day 10 of training camp like a glorified scrimmage, and while the offense had its moments, it was the defense that really shined. From an aggressive and attacking defensive front led by Aidan Hutchinson, to a talkative secondary. This Lions’ defense is showing early signs that they could be better than many expected.

  1. Good to hear the O is having its troubles with the D. About damned time. This joint practice with the Giants ought be interesting. Daboll and Campbell are two of my favorite coaches and both are sure to get a lot out this practice time. Besides, Don is probably some long lost rellie of mine, wink wink nudge nudge

  2. As an Old Lions fan say about 55 years. This is the first time I excited about the defense since the 1990's. As I always say championship are ultimately won when you have a great defense.

  3. I'm trying to tell everyone we could be top 7 offense and defense this year last year at the end of the season when we went 10 and 2 for those games were the 12th best defense and all we did was get better

  4. If our defense is shutting down our top 10 offense, they are gonna dominate all the other teams in regular season

  5. Not worried about the offense.
Ben Johnson will have it cooking.
But very glad about the news on the defense.

  6. Hey Miko, my name's George – awesome series man. From the Bay Area and following the Lions since 2009 since they got Follet and then Best. Re. the defense, I kinda see the Lions transforming into the 9ers model on defense (even getting Moseley) and I'm all for it. All down to being headlined by a big strong white boy at DE. Niners have the stronger front 7 but Lions are better at DB. So pumped to see them dominate. I really wanna see Goff, in addition to Amon Ra and Laporta have that 3rd safety valve on 3rd downs especially on the road where he's struggled. Maybe Raymond, Mims, Jones, Gibbs. But I think him being able to connect with 3 reliable guys is a magic number on those crucial 3rd and 5s, 3rd and 10s. Thanks and looking forward to your rundowns this year.

  7. Detroit born 1964 been a fan since then, this is the best lions team i have ever seen. We don't have 1or two stars and a super star like years past, we Young talent ang good players across the board!
