As a firefighter paramedic that fire wasnt gonna spread anywhere it was surrounded by concrete on all sides and not enough fuel to reach the power lines. It is pretty distressing that when you call 911 they have an entire channel intro ๐. That fire was more than likely 10/10 started by a homeless person or some kind of fire bug.

I saw a video where someone had to call 911 in Detroit and the same thing happened. they were put on hold for about 20-30 minutes. Waiting for the next available officer. Imagine someone is bleeding out and you gotta wait 30 minutes for 911 to pick up your call.

Itโs legit sad that 911 has hold times like that ๐ means they donโt have enough employees.
This is literally just how emergency services works. Nothing alarming or out of the ordinary.
You call 911, 999, 000, whatever your national emergency services line is and an operator answers, asks the location of the emergency and what service you need. They then transfer you to the closest relevant service dispatcher.
The only issue here is the time you were on hold. This is what happens when you slash budgets from public safety in a city like this.
