  1. genesis caberera ~ 4 games for Toronto = 4 games. 5 innings pitched, 1 hit ERA 0.00.

yeah I have faith in the Cards ability to bring out the best in the pitching staff.

  2. Ways to improve your show: Remove the mic from Cole because he doesn’t need to say anything. Have Cam start reading good text and not just try and change the topic constantly. Have Jim get new talking points because I’ve heard the same then for most segments.

  3. Why is it we have to give heartbreak guys away but other teams don’t.. why do we have to do that.. when 60-75 million will be free’d up.. sign two free agents it’s that simple because these young kids won’t be in the rotation!

  4. That’s what I said yesterday.. we traded for another teams AA guys that will now be in our AAA system.. it wasn’t a good trade.. they must sign not 1 but 2 legit MLB free agent arms… Snell Stroman Nola Scherzer Urias Yamamoto…reoffer to Hicks Monty as well see if someone bites as I see a lot of team going after Ohtani!

  5. Notice the immediate success Genesis Cabrera is having. Happy to escape the culture? These trades are fine. However to actually be a relevant team next year we will have to find 2 elite both in starters and bullpen arms. Massive changes need to be made. Yes, I’d trade either Goldy or Arenado if we could get controllable elite arms. Jordan Walker needs to play 1B. And, if the return was right for Arenado, Gorman would slot in at 3B nicely. Donnie at 2B. Masyn Winn at SS (guy should be here already), Tyler in LF, Noot in RT, and Dylan in CF. I know, a lot of Hopium in the OF. No rush to make deals. We have until spring training. Impress me Moz. In what world do we improve and still keep Gorman, Winn, Hence, and Walker?

  6. Trading Donovan would be a down right mistake… Edman Carlson Herrera and Flaherty maybe Burleson maybe… should be the only ones to go after this… Donovan is the best lead off hitter we have had in awhile obviously Noot can handle that roll but I still wouldn’t trade him.. Carlson Edman Flaherty in a 3 team deal should be able to bring in AAA talent that is ready to go now for a cup of coffee and or be ready next year.. like a Libby type who’s obviously better!

  7. Finally someone said it if a team is trying to acquire Jack they are not giving away pitchers

  8. They did a good job getting a nice return, but none of the 4 pitchers acquired are going to make them contenders in 2024. The Cardinals need 4 impact pitchers to put themselves in a position to contend next season. Then need 2 top line starters, a closer and a solid set up man. Unless they have something up their sleeves via trade or are willing to spend much more in free agency than they have in the past, 2024 is a rebuilding year.

  9. Hey Jim; You’re not an idiot! Everything you said is true or fact!! Teams that are buying are wanting for the best available pitchers. Like you pointed out…So how can the Cards FO trade for front line pitching without out giving good major league players back? There must be something the FO has in the fire to bring back a starting pitcher. Like you say, you can’t fill three holes via free agency. Maybe they hope to fill one of those 3 holes with one the guys they already have. 😖. Then they only have to find two starters via trade or free agency.

  10. The Toronto haul was pretty solid. I like Sem Robberse. The TX return was too light. They must have a plan for Saggese. Really dissapointed they couldn't get Kumar Rocker.

  11. Mo is still a guy. Do I think his job performance has slipped? Yes. But does the guy deserve to be personally insulted and degraded? No. He’s a man. He has a family. Just because he has a high profile job, doesn’t make it ok to be a jerk to the guy publicly; to his face or otherwise. The media has been fair with him. It’s not fair to put the payroll constraints at his feet. That’s the DeWitt’s. If you wanna criticize Mo for how he spends the money and for the entire player development system. That’s fine. But again, the fans are starting to cross a line in their criticism. It’s become way too personal.

  12. Honest question. Are we going to witness Arenado pull a Tarasenko in the off-season and demand a trade? I mean the cardinals treatment of him has been abysmal and disrespectful with the latest stint of not being forthcoming in their talks with the dodgers. After Ben Fred’s column it’s almost as if Arenado is beyond frustrated with this team.

  13. 14m14s cost him 1.5 seconds watching it instead of getting to top speed fast then finding out..but good play by Morel. But ya. He's looking very well AB. Zinger zer.

  14. This from a long time Cards fan in Washington state. One or two championships in 20 years? Hey guys, we could be Mariners fans, how many Series championships in the entire history of the club? You guessed it , zero. So let's be thankful for the commitment to quality that is the hallmark of the Cards, even though this year has been tragically disappointing, I would guess especially for a guy like Goldschmidt who is getting a little long in the tooth. Keep the faith, go Cards.

  15. Blues miracle Monday game was just as good as a Stanley game. Best date and have a game like that..go fig..

  16. I think you’re dreaming of you think they can get the necessary ace(s) without training either Goldy or Arenado. Listening to Moz speak about Masyn. My take on Moz, borrowing a line from a movie; “everything about him is wrong.” Hopefully he will prove as effective as the character that was said about and completely flip my opinion. My fear is that we will not be able to compete without the pitchers Goldy and Nolan would bring. Also, I have heard that Walker grades out as the worst outfielder. Ever. Hoping he could survive at 1st and actually contribute a positive runs saved stat. Thinking Gorman would be at least average at 3rd. Yes, Arenado is irreplaceable. Best fielding SS ever, as well as on the short list for best hitters at the position. Goldy is a HOF player as well. I just don’t see us getting the necessary arms without at least one of these moves.

  17. Food for thought. How much $ will it cost to aquire your pitching next year i.e being a guy like Nola wants here, resigning our 2 of 3 men back ad keeping x1 or locking down another to free agent in the class of talents like a definite top 1 or 2. Costly when you didn't sign your men earlier, longer..this core has upside, last year it wasn't addressed..see how mo answers that. Mr $ roll.

  18. The return they got is fine but pitching wise they look like depth not top of the rotation stuff. Still need to make that top of the rotation trade and sign another in the off-season because I don't believe they will sign 2 in the off-season.

  19. So when will they get rid of Flaherty? He was only good for half of the 2019 season. He’s done nothing since, and it doesn’t seem like he wants to be in STL. We need to trade him and one or two of our surplus fielders for some pitchers who can contribute in 2024.

It’s great that we have some prospects, but we need proven pitchers who can start in 2024.

  20. The more I think on it, feeling that Moz should of waited till closer to the deadline to trade Hicks. Teams, like the Dodgers for example would of made better offers. Go Cardinals. 👍
