  1. Tony it would be class to see you do a boxing spar against these BJJ guys, maybe even an MMA spar

  2. You as a boxer have very strong wrists and long hands. You can use these advantages to find a technique that will work even on brown and black belts after some weeks of practice.

The boxing stance is perfect for grappling too. Focus on your stance, and keep your base during the attacks. Keep your elbows close to your body, at the beginning never move them away from your body. Your partners will have a hard time attacking you from your hands because there will be no space between elbow and body.

  3. I knew a pro boxer who lived in upstate New York and alot of combat sports guys were buddies. BJJ guys, judo players, boxers, etc.

At a party there was a black belt BJJ guy thay always was kinda of a jerkoff.

Him and the boxer got into it and it started getting heated.
The boxer hit him with a quick flash smack and then a brutal uppercut and KOd him.
He said knew this was gonna be a fight and that if he didn't end it right there, that guy was gonna take his arm home with him.

This video shows what he was talking about.

  4. Came here to see all the keyboard warriors knock on a 1000 year old martial art and one of the only westerners to ever master it. But hey, keep watching TV

  5. 😂😂of course a boxer is going down trying to use HIS skills! When he initially reaches out…Power shot on the chin. Game over!

  6. Before the pandemic, I did Jujitsu for a while and over a few sessions, it made me realize how technically and physically demanding it truly is. There are so many moves, holds and your size can be used against you. One minute you think you've got someone, and then all of a sudden, they pull out a sneaky submission. I'm traditionally into boxing. I respect you for going outside your comfort zone. Pease.

  7. In general people (especially men) dont wanna do something they are not good at. So they stick to what they know, not to get embarrassed. Well you are never good at something you didnt practice. Tremendous respect for Tony doing this on camera. Remember Rick Barry? And the underhand free throws. Still undefeated in stats and yet nobody does it…. because they might look stupid. Tony swallowed his pride and ego and did this. No that, ladies and gentlemen is COURAGE.

  8. Olympic boxer. With a little bit of ground knowledge. That's no fun to meet on the street.

  9. Well, ok, but this was really BJJ white belt vs BJJ world champion, as you were not allowed to box.
