Boxers/mma guys tried other sports and weren't good enough so took up combat sports. This is why a Jake Paul can knock out Tyron Woodley and go the distance with Tommy Fury because barely anyone has a go at those sports meaning the competition is low, then it gets divided into weight classes. I genuinely believe 99% of current combat athletes wouldn't have made it if Baskeball, NFL, Football, Rugby, Baseball, Tennis, Swimmers, etc took up combat sports as kids. Leon Edwards couldn't catch a cold in goal either. Most footballers I grew up with, were all good at darts, swimming, snooker, rugby, basketball, boxing, cricket, skateboarding and so on, fighters aren't natural athletes they're manufactured in a sport where there's barely any competition. Trying to become a footballer is you vs 1 million kids just in the UK at any given time. Trying to become a heavyweight boxer – around 4,000 people to compete with in the UK at any given time, it's not easy but anyone with a half decent right hand can be ranked top 50 hence why everyones 30-0 before they reach the big leagues.
Also lets be honest instead of PC. The female pros are worse than the male celebs. Kem would be england womans best ever player with ease
Iv'e always liked Deano but I think this comment is ridiculous. Atleast Tommy Fury gave his time to help raise millions. What have Dean done. Except sit in studio drooling every time he opens his trap.
Simon was pretty right about Danny Dyer as a footballer.
I think Dean Saunders thinks he was Ian Rush, Gareth Bale or Ryan Giggs in football. Even Mark Hughes was a hell of alot better. Saunders was like a modern day Troy Deeney. OK at best.
