You’ll Be BLOWN AWAY How Easy This Makes Perfect Impact Position

Go from hitting 1 great shot per round to hitting 50 perfect shots per round. Your arm position makes perfect impact position easy in the golf swing. Setting your arms like this makes it easier to hit the ball first and take a divot after.

  1. Good stuff Tom! Amazing results with this setup! I'm still having trouble keeping my lead arm straight when I get over 3/4 back swing! I guess I'm too old and stiff, not getting it! Thanks for your time and sharing! Great stuff!

  2. Hey Tom. Great job on these videos. I love your channel! So being "almost" a senior, turning on the backswing seems a little more restricted than it could be. So I was in the back yard today with some practice balls and a 4 iron. I know 4 iron can be a tough club to hit for some. So when I was hitting it really well, that was a good sign.

So here's what I did. I took my normal setup. Next I drew the right foot (back foot) back to close the stance. I brought the club back inside the line as the closed stance allowed me to do (and makes it a lot easier). Then I discovered something. And I'm wondering if this is related to Hogan's comment where he said he wished he had 3 right hands….. So with the closed stance I found I couldn't turn fast enough in the downswing and my body literally couldn't "go left". In other words no matter how fast I turned, when I turned, my body "faced" the target at the end of a balanced follow through. I could not face left of target if I tried… physically. So I found that I was not only hitting the ball straight and solid, but I could turn as fast as I wanted and really "thrash" the ball and it was being hit real solid. The turn was the kind that swept the grass real nice and along the target line. So if I didn't "turn hard", I think my shots would have gone to the right. And this is where I was wondering how so many seniors have ugly looking swings but they hit the ball 250 down the middle.. they all turn hard. Maybe the closed stance was getting my backswing into an ideal "backswing slot"??? Your thoughts?

  3. Thank you Tom
still trying to put your teaching into action!!!
Just can’t seem to bring it to the golf course
    Someday I will
every time I get discouraged with a 100 plus round you’re teaching tips gives me a sliver of hope.
    Thank you 🙏

  4. 12 GIR. My personal best and thank you for all the great tips. Do you have any great drills to reduce or elim 3-putts?

  5. I was always an 'okay' golfer (shooting high 80's low 90's) but for some reason a couple months ago i lost my sense of hitting the golf ball first, and would always chunk my irons and wedges. I watched your videos on keeping your trail arm tucked into your body, and keeping your weight forward and this past week i shot 83, and 85 respectively on some relatively harder courses in my area. I can't wait to incorporate setting my hands forward for more consistency. The problem i have now is i strike the ball so well i have to adjust my yardages. Thank you Tom!

  6. I have never posted a comment on YouTube, but I have to. I am 2 years into my golf journey and struggled mightily over that time. I came across your videos and finally have a repeatable swing put together. All my buddies keep asking how I improved so quick since I’m hitting these crispy KFC shots now. You might be getting some more subscribers soon…

  7. Unbelievable. Can't tell you how much these lessons have helped me start to regain my yesteryear. When I get where I want to be I'll be in Myrtle Beach to show off. Be good-Russ

  8. Whaat? Even with hybrid, wood and driver? I maybe slice iron 6 and up because I don't put my hands in the correct position. I will try it out!

  9. I tried this on my last round and hit my clubs the best I have ever hit them. Thanks for the tip😊😊

  10. Hey Tom, which set of irons is this set up useful for? I was told for longer irons (4,5,6) you shouldn't have much shaft lean at address, is this true?

  11. Tom, love the videos and your keep-it-quiet principals! Am currently adjusting my swing to stack-and-tilt in an effort to push my 90s game into the low 80s. My legacy swing saw a large lead of the hands. Is it fair to say, based on watching this video, that the optimal lead is generally about keeping the "pendulum" of the arm and club in a straight line between the shoulder and ball?

  12. I was watching an older video you made from 4 years ago about how you actually hit slighly down with your driver. I'm kind of spitballing here, but does this sound right?

If a pga tour pro had a slightly negative aoa, is the follwing explanation a plausible and/or likely reason that the ball is still launching at a higher angle than the driver is lofted at? The driver is making contact with the ball for around 1/1000th of a second, and in that time, a driver moving at 115mph is going to travel another 2 inches while maintaining contact with the ball. This time might be enough for the driver swing plane to become slightly upward.

  13. Tom is without a doubt the best online golf instructor. He has helped my game so much by making the swing easier.
