The equity the players will get is in new co which is LIV or LIV II…… PGAT will be left whole, but it has no growth in it, it is a saturated market with largely older fans. PIF wants to grow the game globally. PIF will get all they ever wanted which is 10-14 super series events (likely branded Aramco not LIV to keep face for PGAT execs), it will be a limited field, no cuts and playing for major $$'s, beyond that PGA stays as it and the players come back for some of the events along with the majors. Only difference is PIV now also gut a cut of the establishment not just as a sponsor. PIF did not buy into PGAT to kill Yasir's baby surely Brandel even knows that, the new co is the share of equity the stars will be getting (no LIV no new co, ironic isn't it). Jay ain't going to tell his new boss that LIV and global golf is worthless, and reduce the amount of TV product.

Fining those guys large sums of money doesn't fix anything… They'll just not come back and only play the majors. The reason this merger is supposed to be "good long term" is it gets those guys back on Tour.

I think Brandel is a good analyst but on this topic he is living in a dream land. He seems to think that the PIF will supply all the money and allow the existing PGA Tour leadership to spend the money and fine the LIV players as they see fit.
