This video is about the rotation in the golf swing. So many Golfers are struggling with the turn – why? First because they think the turn in a wrong way and and then they also do it too much. The issue of moving the head up and down, mostly is result of this as well. Thanks to the hula hoop tire, it’s fantastic to visually demonstrate. In this video, I clarify why the head moves so much for many people, why the rotation is rather counterproductive for most. Take a look, I’m sure a penny or two will drop!
Enjoy and have fun practicing !!

What an excellent video.
Thanks Martina and for excellent explanation and advice, God bless you and for sharing those excellent tips
excellent video
Thank you, Martina, that is the best demonstration of how to turn I have ever seen, brilliant, well done for sharing.
Greta explanation! Thank you.
Stop using “turn” and start using “tilt”
Excellent – thanks
This just sums up what I don’t do. Feels so different but so really clear. Awesome. Thanks.
great explanation of the turn.thank u and keep up the good work.
Been working on this and it's getting there. You have given me some very good ideas to work on. I'm sure I will have to see this again to ingrain that feeling.
Wow, I just commented on another video about this very thing. You have a wonderful way of explaining things that click with me. I have been watching YouTube videos for many years, but there is something about how you deliver the message that just clicks. ATB, Jeff
You're a good instructor. This is excellent and reminds me of Bernhard Langer's description of his own turn/swing: " I hoover (hover) the club head then drive my left shoulder at my right knee and then, drive my right shoulder at my left knee."
Have seen several videos of the turn like you show but never have really seen how bad it looks when it becomes too flat without staying in your posture. Excellent explanation when using the hula hoop. Will give it a try next outing 👍👍
Great demonstration. Well received
"Don't do a pivot down, turn it down" Visually I can see the difference but I'm not sure exactly what is happening. The line of your back at the top of your swing (when viewed from the front) is tilted more away from the target with the turn compared to the pivot. I think that is because you don't have as much left side bend during the backswing when you turn rather than pivot. Am I right? Fine lines! Thanks.
Excellent instruction regarding the proper shoulder positions in the golf swing. Very detailed and clearly explained. Cheers 🙌
Delighted to come across your channel. Subscribed! Great clarity and helpful coaching.
Wow! This is amazing, I’ve been watching tons of videos over the last year because I’ve come back to golf and feel lost with where I should be with my arms and torso because I’m cutting across the ball. This is the first video I’ve seen which explains it , thank you 🙏
Thank you for an amazing instructional video. I am guilty of coming out of the shot. I have been practicing the left-shoulder down, right-shoulder down and i notice my elbows widening on the follow-thru, like i am losing the “triangle”.
❤😊
Great description of the turn. You make it sound like golf is easy 😄😄 I've been finding the middle of my irons much more often since I tried this idea – it's worked so well for me. Vielen Dank Martina!
excellent demonstration… tried this out today (in the 100 degree heat) and when done correctly it makes huge improvement to my game, which needs all the help it can get… looking forward to more …. 'scribed & liked… 😁
