Ben Stokes spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon the day before England prepared to face Australia in the fifth and final Ashes Test at the Oval.
Ben Stokes praised James Anderson who is set to return to England’s squad for the final series.
The England captain was however, interrupted as the noise of a familiar theme tune blasted it way through the media room, courtesy of Mark Wood.

At Manchester, the Rain God saved Australia eventually. Although aussies have retained the Ashes but England won by threatening kangaroos so much that aussies were running scared and praying for rain at old trafford which tentamounts to real victory for England. Another important thing is that the Bazball has generated a buzz with a newfound and a renewed interest in the longer format of the game of cricket. In fact, Bazball is the way to go so as to spice up the Test cricket. Though it is needless yet vital to mention that England did not lose first two tests due to Bazball, but they lost it due to dropped catches.
It’s been an amazing series! A bit marred by all the whining and whinging from the English team but that will all be forgotten when we reflect on this series at the start of the next Ashes.

James Anderson is not the greatest fast bowler to play the game. His records are purely based on longevity and nothing else. Great bowler, but not even close to being on McGrath’s level.
