How I Improved My Golf Swing with a $40 home made device. The poor man’s E-bell.

I built a cheaper version of the popular Erickson bell (e-bell) that is a whopping $275! This one can be made for just $40 and possibly even less. You don’t need to be a skilled woodworker and you don’t need expensive tools.
The device really gets you to sequence your body correctly and gives you a great visual while you are swinging of the correct functional swing plane.
PARTS LIST:
Plane board( 24inch diameter wood circle from home improvement center) $19
Oak 1 by 3 for ( 2 foot length) handle assembly $7
Oak dowels for handles ( 7/8 inch diameter by 3 feet long) $5.50
Pine slats for adjustment rails ( 1/2 inch thick by 1 1/2 wide by 2 feet long) $3
Length adjustment knob $4
2 1/2 inch long stainless steel carriage bolt $1.75

The parts can be varied to suit your needs. Without the ability to adjust the device length it can be made for closer to $30.
The whole thing can actually just be made with a hand saw, a drill, glue and screws.

  1. Thanks for the how to videos, Bill Mehlhorn was and advocate of the grass whip for pressure/weight shift which maybe an alternative for those who do not want to make this particular devise. I am lazy, so just throwing that out there for other lazy bones like my self, lol

  2. Brilliant video. Thank you. And brilliant device. Now to figure out a series of drills to use it correctly and then how to transfer that option to the golf swing. You have set me on a journey👍👍

  3. How did you work out the size and weight of your version compared to the original. Thanks.
