  1. I thought losing Caruso was like a big big lost. How we finding Austin Reaves is a wonder. Great upstairs management for finding diamond in the rough

  2. Not to make a "correction" since JJ is obviously the GOAT of NBA commentary, but I noticed that JJ brought up that he wasn't particularly good at shooting "early in his career", and I think it's worth noting that this is only his 2nd year in the league. All of this progress has come this early on in his career, and with the utilization that he's seeing this year, his confidence seems to be solidifying very quickly.

  3. A.I time is Over and Now its A.R timed… AR is the real deal with so much determination and playing with heart, he got the skills and not afraid of anyone.. He has also got a lot of room for improvements too, still young and learning from great Players like Lebron, AD, Vanderbilt, Russell etc inside and outside the Court..

  4. He's been excellent since the westbrook trade, almost like he's had some weight lifted off him.

  5. He does have some game but he flops around so much it’s hard to watch him. His nickname should be fish because he dives into others and sales to the refs that he’s being fouled. Flopping is not basketball for me.

  6. If Austin and Ad helps Lebron get another chip this year *2023, they will be remembered as precious jewels in Lebron James Crown 👑👑

  7. JJ gets it. We traded away every young player that we had and it’s messed us up for years to come. I hope the Lakers do the right thing and not get enticed by mentality. Don’t let LeBron be the GM. Austin Reaves will be an all star if not next year, the year after. Reaves and Russell compliment each other. We have to see what they do.

  8. “Mr. Green from NorCal. Is gonna go to Lakers!…” Are we not gonna talk about what he says at end. What is he saying. Draymond not going to LA

  9. AR psychological approach to the game is so high. Every young player in the nba wants to have a good stats, austin is diffrent, he wants a good stats while winning games.

  10. It kind of reminds me of watching NBA decades ago. We really need 'killers' in the league – ones who compete and want to win. 'Mamba mentality' comes to mind, and obviously Jordan. Something that AD really can use, by the way.

  11. hillbilly has high IQ, smart decision maker, a competitor "mamba mentality", has a lot of skills, a hustler, takes advice from bron and gradually reads the flow of the game.

  12. I'm so glad that J.J. Redick brings up Talen Horton-Tucker. The #1 reason the Los Angeles Lakers lost Alex Caruso is because they overpaid THT.

This time, the Lakers' young rookie, Max Christie, is already on contract, so no excuses, this time. Sign Austin Reaves to a 4 yr/$50 million contract ASAP. 🏀📜💰

  13. And let's not forget, the thing that his really put this guy in the picture before his offense took of, was his defense and his high basketball IQ.

  14. Reaves is exactly what the Lakers need, which is why they will probably trade him next year. Just like they traded, Pope, Monk, Randle, Fox, Clarkson, Ingraham and Caruso.

  15. Austin Reaves has the energy to keep pushing the team, the will to win, and the skill to make a difference. That's what you need to make a run, everyone lifting each other and playing their best game til the buzzer. I'm impressed. This is the 2nd diamond the Lakers found in the rough and polished in the past few years. The first was Caruso who was eventually starting when they won their chip in the Bubble. Reaves is a shiny diamond.

Did I mention he's fun to watch? AR15's hustle is awesome. It's great to see guys diving for the ball.

  16. He could be a chandler parsons or Gordon Hayward type player if he gets a max offer somewhere

  17. Ready for him to be on the podcast going to be fun. We trust jj to ask the questions we want to hear
