If this were to happen with me, I would just grab the hook and pull it out in the opposite direction it went in from. The method shown in the video is a way to feel less pain. But pulling it out yourself will make it have longer pain time. This is similar to the "tie a string around a loose tooth and pull it out trend".
I've been using lures like that for fifty years never once have I hooked myself. Lol. I guess you're just not that sharp are you
