What's your take? Did we miss anyone?
Luka rookie season was the best imo especially because of the what the media was saying about him, “slow and all”
Derrick Rose had a great rookie year and capped it off with that playoff series against Boston
JJ, do you have a photographic memory? I swear you read a stat once and never forget it
Ben Simmons: JJ REDICK guy
CP3: JJ REDICK guy
Lebron: HE’s Lebron
Saying luka doesnt have a better rookie season that Ben & cp3 Bruh what’re we even watching now????
Let's hope the Nets are watching old footage of Ben. He needs a particular type of team built around him to be a success.
Brett Brown would call it, space, pace & defense.
Honorable mention: Tyreke Evans was a dawg for the Kings his rookie year
Luka came in like he was a 10 year vet that is ready on the get go.
Tyreke evans
Melo should’ve won rookie of the year over Bron
Damn dross?????????????????
Rookie Derrick Rose in Chicago was generational. Might not have the advanced stats, but he was quicker, stronger, more athletic and fearless than anyone. Also won 2009 ROY / took defending champ Celtic’s – KG, PP, Rondo, Ray Allen – to 7 games in the playoffs (as a rookie with little help – Noah & Deng)
Reek evans !!
How was CP3 first rookie to average 15, 5, 5 since 2000 when Bron averaged 21, 5, 5 as a rookie?
luka was the obvious snub but tyreke evans deserved a mention as well
You have to mention Carmelo Anthony. He got to the Nuggets and they immediately went to the playoffs. Meanwhile LeBron and his team didn't make the playoffs. That's the count for something. Of course LeBron is the better player and has the way better career. But that first season. Carmelo was better than LeBron in my opinion.
Paolo Banchero
Luka's rookie year – 21,7,6
Not mentioning rookie Luka at the beggining was blasphemy Luka put up better numbers then rookie Bron
D Rose
Luka was restricted by Carlisle and his teammates, which prevented him from playing his game. In the second season, Carlisle realized this and also publicly said that he asked himself "what the hell am I doing" and then let Luka lead the game, which was immediately visible in his results, when he scored 28.8 / 9.4 / 8.8 and led the Dallas Mavericks to the playoffs in which the Mavs did not play in the last three seasons, and scored immediately in his first playoff 31 / 9.8 / 8.7, so I am sure that Luka would have been even better in the Rookie season, if Carlisle would immediately realize and do what he is in Luka's second season.
Melo had a better rookie season than bron
None of those you two mentioned had a better Rookie season than Luka, not even Blake Griffin.
No love for Lillard's rookie year?
Michael carter Williams was a nice rookie year
Simmons #1
Why Paolo not even getting a mention bro wtf?
Curry shot 40% from 3 his rookie season!
Lamelo?
I don’t agree that a second year rookie season should be the same as a first year one. That’s a whole year of being a professional, getting used to the nba routine, nba trainers and medical staff and a year of nba pay. Seems likes a unfair advantage to me
USWNT LFG!
commercial 59 seconds in haha boys getting that MONAYYYYYYYYY and Melos rookie year was toughhhhh
Hurricane katrina was just brutal man, it happened during my senior year of HS and just messed everything up. It was def impressive to see the hornets(hornets before pelicans) and the saints to still be able to play and be competitive.
Lukas rookie season was great.
Carmelo Anthony…
For everyone mentioning Melo they talk bout him in the full episode
What a shame about Ben Simmons
Can we acknowledge that melo got robbed of a rookie of the year …he got his team to playoffs in the west his rookie year
Hey fellas, Carmelo needs some attention here. One hell of a rookie campaign and arguably had a better impact on winning than Lebron. Nuggets made a deep run that year as well and Cleveland didn’t make the playoffs
