Welcome back to Bootleg! On today’s daily episode within our annual summer preview series, Brett and E.J. take a deep dive into the Carolina Panthers. Even though they just took a quarterback at first overall – a position that normally signifies a long rebuild is coming – the Panthers might just be a true “worst to first” candidate in the NFC South. Believe it or not…the roster is darn good!

  1. They did not have a run game. It was painful to see. To be successful in the nfl you gotta have at least an acceptable run game. They didnt.

  2. Praying for the downfall they deserve. CB Carlton davis capping so hard when he said "were gonna wreck Shit this year" ya got Baker mayfield. Would pay for a Marshon lattimore vrs mike evans Fight absolute highlight of the season.

  3. Adhesive, also known as glue, cement, mucilage, or paste, is any non-metallic substance applied to one or both surfaces of two separate items that binds them together and resists their separation.

The use of adhesives offers certain advantages over other binding techniques such as sewing, mechanical fastenings, or welding. These include the ability to bind different materials together, the more efficient distribution of stress across a joint, the cost-effectiveness of an easily mechanized process, and greater flexibility in design. Disadvantages of adhesive use include decreased stability at high temperatures, relative weakness in bonding large objects with a small bonding surface area, and greater difficulty in separating objects during testing. Adhesives are typically organized by the method of adhesion followed by reactive or non-reactive, a term which refers to whether the adhesive chemically reacts in order to harden. Alternatively, they can be organized either by their starting physical phase or whether their raw stock is of natural or synthetic origin.

Adhesives may be found naturally or produced synthetically. The earliest human use of adhesive-like substances was approximately 200,000 years ago, when Neanderthals produced tar from the dry distillation of birch bark for use in binding stone tools to wooden handles. The first references to adhesives in literature appeared in approximately 2000 BC. The Greeks and Romans made great contributions to the development of adhesives. In Europe, glue was not widely used until the period AD 1500–1700. From then until the 1900s increases in adhesive use and discovery were relatively gradual. Only since the last century has the development of synthetic adhesives accelerated rapidly, and innovation in the field continues to the present.

  4. Based on this video, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m delusionally optimistic about this team

  5. I truly appreciate EJ continually saying "future hall of famer" when talking about Mike Evans. Not enough people understand.

Also maybe start saying it about Lavonte David as well? Please?

  6. I think the offensive coaching was much more of a problem than you guys lead on, I didn’t think the offensive line was terrible last year, it was definitely mediocre but the biggest issues on offense were scheme and play sequencing. Players definitely deserve blame too, Godwin wasn’t the same guy after the injury, fournette, brate and goedeke were terrible and Evans and Brady weren’t nearly as good as they’ve been in the past. But at the end of the day they still could’ve been a competent offense if they had a competent oc. Just look at their stats in no huddle and the offensive start they had against the bengals when they were using motion/play action and true quick game on early downs.
    Great vid btw.

  7. the fact that WASHINGTON would've won this division is just so insulting.

  8. I'm not arguing that this team will be good But I don't think it'll be as bad as a lot of people think it will be. An average year would be a success in my books

  9. The Average 2022 Bucs offensive drive:
1st down: Run into a brick wall
2nd down: Run into a brick wall
3rd down: Alright Tom, go bail us out

  10. When you realize that Tom added 4-5 wins that the Bucs shouldn't have gotten last year, you kinda know this next year is going to be rough. This roster is not competing for the division. They're competing for Caleb.

  11. Bro I know mayfield gonna go off and show why he was a top draft pick. He just needs a good team around him which he has never had his whole careet

  12. Todd bowles defense is my favorite way of playing football, and I'm a Bucs fan, these are separate so you could imagine my excitement when arians and bowles signed with us

  13. I’ve always for whatever reason or another been higher than most on Baker, and I think with this talent on offense the floor is QB 25 and the ceiling is QB 17 to 20

  14. I remember the 2021 browns making it to the playoffs with baker, the bucs have an on par defense, stronger WR stargets, a potentially better oline, the only knock in the comparrsion between the 2021 browns and the 2023 bucs is Nick Chubb. probably gonna be a playoff team.

  15. It's funny how Tampa has been so traditionally bad for extended periods of time, but they've been good for flashes and won SuperBowls in those windows, while other older and more traditionally good teams haven't even won a single one (see: Vikings).

  16. Hey, fellas! 😂😂

Future Tampa Bay Buccaneer Legend Caleb Williams 🔜

Keep killin’ it, y’all. No question best summer content out there right now

  17. I feel bad for Baker

    Year 1 – Hue
    Year 2 – Freddie
Year 3 – Stefanski but Covid off season after the bye looks really good
Year 4 – Finally some consistency in play calling, gets his shoulder fucked up
Year 5 – They trade for Watson and he ends up at the Panthers late in the offseason with useless Rhule

I feel he should have accepted whatever it took to stay at the Rams with McVay as I can’t see Stafford making it through the season and he could have thrived in a full year with the playbook but he jumped for a starting chance with yet another playcaller

  18. I’ve been a fan since 2001, and I feel our roster can have a handful of games within a score, so a 6 or 7 wins season seems doable

  19. Great breakdown and I pretty much agree with everything said here aside from one thing, I absolutely do think that the 2023 Bucs have the potential to be dreadful.

Todd Bowles just has not shown the ability to be a successful head coach in the NFL and there are a lot of holes and question marks on this roster. In addition to Baker Mayfield being an inconsistent QB at best and downright terrible QB at worst, and a rookie OC with zero play calling experience.

I can see them picking #1 in the 2024 draft.
