Cameron Smith returned the Claret Jug to Martin Slumbers, Chief Executive of The R&A and Secretary of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club, ahead of the start of The Open on Thursday.
The Australian won the 150th Open Championship only by one shot ahead of American Cameron Young.
Smith will try to emulate Ireland’s Padraig Harrington, who was the latest golfer to win back-to=back The Open Championship back in 2006.
