  1. I've set off the same speed camera quite a few times. It's in a corner on a 7 % descent and the speed limit is 30 km/h, so just not breaking will set it off.

  2. Most dominant performance since 2021, for the entire tour.

    Even fight untill ITT.
Vingegaard pulls out one of the craziest TT performances ever. This is the most dominant single stage performance in a long time.
And then Pogacar had a terrible day, running empty, while Vingegaard finished with Bilbao and Gaudu. No dominance, just consistent performance.

Compare this to 2021, where Pogacar looked completely unthreatened. Sure, he got distanced on a single climb, when not needing to go full speed, knowing he could catch up in the descent if he stuck with Carapaz.

So yeah, maybe the most dominant performence since 2021, if we only count TdF.
Otherwhise, Remco in last year's vuelta also looked more dominant in my opinion. No true contender for most of the race, same with Bernal in 2021 Giro.

So yeah. In terms of dominance, quite average. Just big time gaps, because of the cracking of Pogacar.

  3. When I worked in CAnary Wharf and commuted via the Lower Lea crossing, the camera after the roundabout was dead easy to trip, the 2nd one by the fire station was more demanding, but still often tripped. A nice flyover downhill does make it easy…

  4. I was still convinced Pogacar was going to win until the time trial, Great Tour, Great win by Vingegaard, I give it a 9.

  5. Tor rating 8/10. Good, but not 1989 where the lead swapped back and forth and came down to 9s on the Champs…

  6. I haven't trigger speed camera while on bike, I guess most of them are controlling main roads, which I don't use for cycling, but I love to trigger speed controlled lights (they turn red if you are speeding) just sprinting ahead of our group.

  7. oh come on… nearly 8 wants per kilo on the TT…. clearly doping is still a thing. why are you not even mentioning it?

  8. 8/10. I whisked the GC battle continued….. I hope JV will be aggressive next year as we could have a 10/10 as the two of them are great fit for beautiful racing

  9. Cycling needs more investment. These guys are superhuman d and deserve more.

  10. Given that being under 25 seems to be no barrier to winning yellow these days, the Young Rider competition seems redundant. They should change it to the Old Rider competition, for best rider over 35 😄 And/or bring back the Combination classification, since the jersey was just so funky 😃

  11. Am old enough to have watched TDF Lemond vs Laurent Fignon… in those days we were poor and didnt have TV set, let alone a road bike. We woukd gather at a neighbour's and watch TDF. As adolescents, we were amazed by the roadbikes with spinergy wheels… but that TT Lemond had…. 👏

  12. Roche/Carrera won the Giro and Tour in 87 but I guess they weren't the first two GTs that year since the Vuelta started in April.

  13. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10. Tadej's cracking reduced the tension of those final days, but raised the emotional impact of event. Seeing him break this year was worse than last year and as he loses the patina of seeming invincibility, he becomes more relatable.

  14. "The Most Dominant Performance Since…?"

Lance. That ITT and the subsequent mountain stage were the most dominant performances since Lance. Enjoy it for the spectacle that it is.

  15. Tour was excellent and interesting until Vingegard performance on time trial was the best one in history. He made it out of nowhere, like never before. He has never showed that ability earlier and there was no sign in first two weeks of that power in his legs. The most ridiculous thing is that nobody here is not even suspicios. After that, the 3rd week was awful.

I don't want to say that Pogacar would win the tour, because he was obviously worn-out for 17 stage. But Jumbo Visma made a mistake with this TT perdormance.

  16. Jumbo would not be the first team to take the triple. Movistar did it last year. All three GC wins with the same rider, Annemiek van Vlueten.

  17. How much do the riders get? It makes no sense for the sponsors to make millions while the riders get little more than “the privilege” of riding for the team. We’ve seen riders win stages then be without contracts the following season. Make this make sense

  18. Every stage they raced was executed to perfection. Pogacar more dynamic but made a few mistakes which made the difference.

  19. That’s easy, that would be Gino Mader’s Bahrain team mates winning stages and dedicating the wins to his memory!
RIP brother, we love you and miss you. 😢❤ 🚴

  20. There's a 20mph speed camera near me in London and even going over 20 I haven't been able to set off the camera

  21. Such a relief to have you back on the Racing News Show Dan, whenever I see that other guy I end the video and don’t bother watching it. Probably a really nice guy but no presenting skills. Sorry, just giving honest feedback.

  22. Two favorites figuratively trying to land blows and literally pushing rach other to their limits until one knockout punch.
A tense and eventful 3 weeks starting from week one with seconds separating two contenders by rest day two. One of the best editions.
A cricket test lasts 5 days, a tennis grand slam 2 weeks with Olympics only 2 weeks, but a cycling grand tour has 3 weeks of drama. Vive la Tour

  23. The Yates twinning at 0:55 is 👌👌👌

5:25 Matej Mohoric cut me deep. I watch and they make it look so easy but i just loved how raw and open he was! It is easy to watch and extreamly difficult to do!

This has been my faviorite tour but that could be because i have gotten more into it every single year! They all did such a great job! 👏👏👏

  24. Highs were anyone who won who was not Jasper P. Lows were seeing Jasper drunkenly riding all over the road, interfering with everyone else.

  25. Well we will see if Vin studied hard for the tests. When you have unbelievable results they usually are. Vin was a horrible TT guy just four years ago. He finished 15 in his tiny nations TT championships he has finished well into the hundred in other stage race TT a few years back like 125 or so. Hell now we are suppose to believe he is now the best in the history of the TT? I don't think so.

I wouldn't be shocked in the least if his tests come back dirty.

  26. It's nice to see Pogacar not use his injury as an excuse to miss the race. He came and made it fun, otherwise Jonas would have steamrolled everyone. He wasn't scared to fail and still bounced back!

  27. I clicked on this link not expecting Lloydie to be back, What a pleasant surprise! Can you bring Matt Stephens back as a surprise guest. Would love to hear that laugh again and watch him try to clip in!

  28. NGL, I had tears on my eyes while watching Matej's interview. Very eloquent and thoughtful, he just managed to move my heart in a way no other sportsperson could.

  29. Matej's English is almost perfect. This old English teacher can't detect any serious mistakes. But have you heard his Italian? Mamma mia! Lui parla come un italiano vero!
