This is all speculation based on nothing. Everyone is talking about Max. Every podcast or video and Red Bull and Max has a part in it.
And Max is known for his adaptive driving style so he would be able to drive with Checo's setup.
And no F1 team makes a car suited for one driver. Just listen to actual people who work at F1 teams. All the engineers say this. It just doesn't work that way. They make the fastest car possible.
This could be the dumbest take on the entire situation.

I think part of it is that Red Bull Racing are desperate not to have one team in the stable finish first and the other dead last. That is a given. But given they could have pulled Nyck and put in Liam (yes I know he is already competing in Super Formula) there has to be another reason. Whether it is that Daniel has a viable chance to get back within the RedBull organisation, Liam wants to finish the season in Japan and would find it a challenge to come in cold, or the fun factor. Who the hell knows.

It does have the benefit of getting people interested by having ricciardo on the grid but he likely won't be capable of placing well because of the car and it isn't a motivating factor. More likely they're seeing how him and yuki compare as the two of them are the most likely replacements for checo.

From what I've heard, Newey doesn't make a car for Max or for Checo, he makes the thoretically fastest car he possibly can. It's Max's skill that is allowing him to get so much closer to that theoretical performance than Checo, Alex or Pierre
