An all-time great, Rod Woodson, joins Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden to discuss his life and career. Rod didn’t instantly know he was better than everyone else on the field, that had to come over time in high school and while at Purdue. An All-Pro at multiple positions (just like Pat P), Woodson explains how he was able to remain dynamic in the return game for so long. He also shares stories about Chuck Noll and Dick LeBeau, while remembering his comeback from a torn ACL in Week 1 of the 1995 season to play in Super Bowl 30. Rod talks about some of the greats in his era like Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice and when he and Ray Lewis knew the Ravens would win Super Bowl 35. Finally, Superlatives.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden have made a living for their coverage skills on the football field, and while it’s a different technique, they’re now applying those traits on their new podcast ‘All Things Covered’. Instead of wide receivers, tight ends and running backs, they’ll be covering sports, entertainment, social issues, personal interests and more. Every week, the 8-time Pro Bowler Peterson and 2-time Super Bowl champion McFadden will discuss what’s happening on the gridiron as well as what intrigues them off the field. Each week they’ll welcome a star from the sports and entertainment world to have wide-ranging conversations about what interests them. Guests can include active or former football players but also athletes and influencers from other sports and walks of life. Football is how we know our hosts, but far from what defines Pat and BMac. The name says everything; expect all things to be covered!

  1. Rod Woodson, one of the best DB's to ever play the game. It broke my heart to see him in any other uniform than the Black n Gold. I hate how so many people say Dion Sanders was better than Rod. Sanders was fast and could recover from his mistakes but dude was afraid of contact, whereas Rod would lay the smack down and make you scared to catch the rock.

  2. Even though you played with the Hated Baltimore Ravens. I forgive you, because it's you Rod. Glad you got your SUPERBOWL Ring but I didn't like the fact that it's the RAVENS. Great Show 👍 Great Players.

  3. Man you guys are killing with the former players and coaches…
I would love to see Greg Lloyd 👍🏿

  4. Rod was the man in my book. Rod and Slash and Lloyd brought plenty cheers. My son once asked 'Dad, u gettin a Lev Bell jersey?' I said "I alreddy have 26!" Thanx Bmac..keep em comin👍

  5. So this is a groundbreaking episode for me personally,, 🔥 Hot Rod Woodson is like an idol to me even though I'm a God-fearing man.. I'm 41 years old I start watching football when I was ten Rod Woodson ,Barry bananas Foster (Cowher Power) that was his first year I'm pretty sure it was 93 when Cowher took over just,, brings chills to me to see you guys interview Rod Woodson and get the inside of his psyche I remember he had the first restaurant I'm pretty sure he was like the first athlete I could be wrong that had his own restaurant through marketing and Pittsburgh Jerome bettis followed years later Brian McFadden you surprise me I didn't know you were that much of the NFL buff with history you knew a lot of intricate details if y'all could get Berry Foster (29)on the show I would love that he was my first football 🏈 Lve..

  6. Great Great show Pat P and B-Mac! Talking to living legends man love this show! Keep them coming guys!

  7. Fantastic interview with a Legend, the great Rod Woodson. A player of speed, toughness and intellect. Loved watching him play and was enthralled listening about his journey and memories.

  8. RW is the best corner and safety I ever had the privilege to watch. Caught Blount some but was at the end of his storied career. Deion may have been a better cover but he did NOT want to hit. Rod would PUNNISH players with those giant shoulder pads. Thank you Rod for all the great memories.

  9. @ROD WOODSON .. SALUTE 👍🏾 .. ( HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING MR WOODSON DOIN SECURIT IN ST. LOUIS FOR THE XFL ( BATTLEHAWKS VS VIPERS ) GAME AND SHAKE HIS HAND ENTERING STADIUM AND AFTER GAME ) .. EVEN WIT A CLOSE LOSS AN YOU CAN TELL HE WAS UPSET HE STILL TOOK A FEW PICS, SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS , SHOOK MY HAND AND WAS CORDIAL AND CLASSY .. AS A DIE HARD STEELERS FAN .. IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY XFL EXPERIENCE AND BEING A STEELERS FAN . THANK YOU MR WOODSON IT WAS A CHILDHOOD DREAM TO MEET A STEELERS LEGEND .. 💯👍🏾

  10. During my younger years, Rod Woodson was a GOAT. If you had him on Super Tecmo Bowl, you know lol…Def ST…Ball Hawk…If you love Troy you gotta love Rod.

  11. Why does night train get never get an all time nod? He's literally the first ever shut down and still ranks top all time ints…

  12. Definitely one of my favorite shows, those Steelers from the 90s really brought us to where we are now. Kordell Stewart would be awesome.

  13. B Mac reminds me why I love the Steelers with every episode. Great to see #26 the goat. Hate to hear him talk about being a bird. Much love to all things covered

  14. LMMFAO! I know I'm going to hell for saying this but Woodson looking like Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder🏖🏝🌩

  15. Those Steelers defenses in the mid 90’s were really great. Greg Lloyd, Greene, Woodson, Lake, Kirkland. Legendary Defenses in my opinion. Even though they didn’t win a Super Bowl, they came really close. If it had’t been for that damn QB. #Steelcurtain

  16. Cornerbacs are the players on the team who can have those good numbers running the ball because they chase ppl allday they are the best athletes on the team

  17. Y is Tomlin hatin on me and I help him so much? I help him more than any assistant he cud ever dream of cuz😂😂

  18. This was awesome. Rod was an amazing player and something that stood out to me during this was his appreciation for others, especially Carnell Lake.

  19. BMAC and Pat P, you guys are awesome! Love watching you thrive on here. Great to see Rod and hear all of the Pittsburgh stories! Go Steelers and keep the awesome content coming!

  20. I don’t care what nobody says Rod Woodson is the NFL Cornerback GOAT. Not Deon Sanders or any one else! Glad to see him on the show.
