Kylan “KJ” Kuhn has always wanted to be an NBA Reporter for the Cleveland Cavaliers. KJ is 13 years old and has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Shortly after he was born, we also learned that he has the same rare chromosomal disorder as me. He underwent three open-heart surgeries before the age of five and has dealt with many additional health-related struggles throughout his young life. Now age 13, KJ is doing great despite all the adversity he’s faced and the challenges he’s overcome.
KJ joined the Bally Sports Ohio broadcast team on December 22, 2022 for the Cavaliers home game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Here’s a rundown of his day:
9 am – KJ joined the TV production call on Microsoft Teams.
10:30 a.m. – Met Donovan Mitchell and interviewed Robin Lopez, Jarrett Allen and Cedi Osman at Cavs Shootaround with Cayleigh Griffin.
5 pm – Arrived at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and attended the pregame production meeting with John Michael, Mike Fratello, Austin Carr, Serena Winters and Kayleigh Griffin.
5:15 pm – Asked JB Bickerstaff a question at his Pregame Press Conference.
5:30 pm – Interview with Serena Winters on Cavaliers Live Pregame Show.
7:00 pm – Spent the first half in the Bally Sports Ohio TV truck and Cavs Audio Verse. Also provided his insight on TV after the first quarter.
9:30 pm – Joined Serena Winters on the Court and interview Jarrett Allen after the Cavs win.
