Shipnuk got it wrong, The Saudi's are willing to drop Norman who did the ground work CLEARLY they don't care about LIV. If a guy wants Augusta membership that is telling what his mission is. WAKE UP EVERYBODY
Rich, I hate to say this, but it is true, cause the tv ratings say so,, golf is dead, sense Tiger can only play in very limited majors there are really no no superstars who can bring in the ratings!!

World golf is in shambles and needs to reinvent itself, otherwise it will self implode. Unfortunately, golf is not a great visual sport, so it needs genuine competition between the best players in the world at individual and international level. A possible recommendation would be to increase the number of majors by adding a couple more outside of the USA and definitely one in Asia and creating a new major's scoring log (total shots relative to par) over all the majors.
Shipnick is a LOSER
Remember 12 other top players are with TGL . This is important as they are by looks of it bankrolled by the Raine Group . People should know the PIF used to be and probably still are tight with Raine. They both were financing the PGL which was identical to LIV. The PGAT are getting double teamed . They doing there best to keep what control they can .

Literally zero chance Steph Curry could play the champions tour. There’s a world of difference between him, an amazing amateur, to touring pro.
Part of this reminds me of the old AFL vs NFL fight that ended in a merger and the Super Bowl. The AFL was started because the old NFL had a quasi monopoly and was anti-growth, or very slow growth. Golf needs a over 40 year old tour. Guys past their prime LINGER until they turn 50 for the senior tour. An over 40 tour would solve that, and make it less frequent because most of them have family requirements that are more important than golf. I would rebrand to 3 tours: PGA , PGA over 40, PGA Senior Tour for over 50 year olds.

I sincerily hope that LIV will bring Humans Right to the ordenary people in Saudi, but I dont think it will do. LIV are only sportwashing, sorry to say, Thanks Allan Shipnuck for your view, coz this is what it's all about, the reason why we in the western world dont give countries like Saudi the respect they so much want, is there lack of Humans Right to the working class. And that Rory stand up for this, I admiere. Sorry for the gramma but english is not my languish, stil I hope you get my point. Humans Right is so common and normal in most of the western world, that we take for granted. Peace and love to all
PS we would not have this conversation if it was the Mafia or AlQuida who was behind LIV. So yes some $$$ do not have the sweet smell.
