I firmly believe last years playcalls took throws out of Fields' hands. 1) to protect him when pocket wasnt there consistently for long enough, if at all. 2) the tank was on. Tons of "safe" 3rd n long run calls.
Playbook & trust in OL should allow 1 to do it right.
Nate Tice should just make this a monthly segment. He's obviously the most popular guest on the podcast … even when he has constructive criticism for the Bears. I think Nate is a closet Bears fan masquerading as a Vikngs fan.
Chase Young in a trade an Yannick as a signing makes way too much sense for the bears. Their defense would be solid and actually deep.
Love nate but wtf. Those passing numbers seem low. I was thinking 30+ tds, 3200 yds, 65% completion and 10 or fewer picks. Plus a serious cutdown on fumbles.

The last staff did no teaching. This new staff is already having a bigger impact.
Caleb Williams needs to be the QB for next year! I do not want to be stuck with fields going forward. Nothing against JF I just believe Williams is the better player!
When looking at Trubisky S2, we must keep in mind that was the 2018 defense that set up the offense with many turnovers, good field position, letting the run game take over, and taking lots of pressure off Mitch. JF1 doesn't have that in S3, so it is still difficult to compare the two.
This season for me is pure eye test. I gotta see JF1 read and get through progressions faster.
Also, I'm NOT in on Chase Young. Dude can't play, literally. He can't stay on the field.

I like and dont like adams and hoge. They say they're for fields but they're really not in my opinion. They were behind Mitch trubisky way more trying to get rid of fields fast basically since he got here. And if Kurt Warner Matt Hasselbeck Tim Jenkins all QBs that played in the NFL said fields reading the field, most of the sacks aren't on him and he is making plays i could care less what these beat writers have to say.

I think we should be assuming Fields gets the fifth year option. Use both first rounders next year to finish turning around this roster.
The defense is likely still going to be bad, which does impact the success of the offense.

Fields should have 3500 yards or more this year!!!! Two receivers needs to have 1000 plus yards maybe 3 this year!!! Kmet needs to shine too!!! A running back who catches out of the backfield helps a young quarterbacks expeditiously!!!! That's why Detroit got Jahmyr Gibbs so early! They know their quarterback isn't as talented so they plan screen teams to death!!!
Hopefully, the coaches were deliberately tanking last year. I would hate to think that they are that flawed.
I want to point out before the bears started to trade their best defensive players I remember them having a top 10 defense in the 2nd half of games. It was something I noticed this year and I remember coming up in post games before we traded everyone. Gives me confidence in the coaches
