The Open: Three key holes that could decide winner at Royal Liverpool | Sport Dissected



Royal Liverpool is hosting its 13th Open this week, its first since 2014, with 260,000 fans expected to attend across the four days.

Only three amateurs have won the Open and two of them did so at Royal Liverpool: England’s Harold Hilton in 1897 and the American Bobby Jones in 1930. Rory McIlroy also triumphed here, nine years ago, and arrives this week off the back of a brilliant victory in the Scottish Open.
