Q: why do the women earn the same as the men when the viewership is only 20% at best? isnt that just sexism in its purest form?
They found the most unattractive player in tennis to beat the second most unattractive. Just saying.

What a weak finals. An old and overweight Serena might still beat one of them and I am by no means a fan of Serena
Ons struggles against players who come to the net. How many points did she lose to her opponent this way.
tu es la plus forte ons. il n y avait qu une seule joueuse sur le terrain. tu marquais des points pour toi et pour l autre qui n a pratiquement rien fait ( sauf rendre la balle dans le terrain). tu te restera une fierté malgré la defaite….
Stats in the end. Clear difference is the unforced errors. Marketa had a better defensive game. Less unforced errors and more first serves in.
31 unforced errors for Jabeur almost half of marketa’s points and a lot of them at key moments when she’s up a break or serving to stay in the match or set. Marketa won 24 out of 26 points starting from 4-4 first set. Ons has had an average first serve % of 75% and saved 60% of break points against and had less unforced errors in her last 3 matches combined (flying during the tournament). This is the definition of chocking once again in a final

Unfortunately, Ons succumbed to pressure, choked and gave the match away. Yes Marketa is a very good player and beat many stroing opponents, but this match was Ons for the taking. We are all human after all
