After winning NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year and earning 1st Team All Pro rankings in his debut season, Sauce Gardner is looking to get back with his team and become a leader not just on the field but one outside of football through his work ethic and lifestyle.

With an unprecedented rookie year for the Jets cornerback and the first rookie in 41 years to make 1st team All-Pro, Sauce attributes his playmaking abilities and consistency to playing the game with passion and focus. With a young roster full of grit, Sauce said the team is more motivated and committed to winning after coming up short last year and putting the pieces in place for that success.

Being one of the core people who helped draw the attention of Aaron Rodgers to New York, Sauce has developed a close bond with the quarterback and talks how being in the Jets’ locker room has made him feel young again and the team is ready to make a Super Bowl run.

As the summer was filled with buzz of whether or not the Jets would be featured on the NFL’s Hard Knocks series, the league announced this week that the team and NFL Films are moving forward with the Emmy award series returning back to New York. The now 2nd year corner back weighs in on his thoughts and how the team will be perceived with cameras around 24/7.

Sauce shares how his upbringing and relationship with his mother shaped him into the man he is today and how having some adversity young motivated him to be more focused on his goals as he advanced.

  1. Oh my God here we go again with the typical “ young age but an old soul” practically says that to everybody now

  2. I like Sauce, but young bull I wouldn't put my family on the radar like that by saying the damn near ran your block 🤦🏿‍♂️

  3. Great interview we need more player from that class like Aidan Hutchinson or Tariq woolen 🙏🏾🙏🏾

  4. cool interview. btw, may sound like hate, never seen a player get hyped up so much after 1 season of owning bums. people actually have sauce as the best cb in the nfl. lol smh

  5. I wanted Jax to take him num 1 overall smh. But I do gotta admit Evan engram did man handle him when we played the jets 😂

  6. Waaaaittt RC lol “First All Pro corner since Revis” … wait a minute bro… what??? I think you missed some people & skipped some years bruh…

  7. Channing is so raw, its funny…Love it. He's like that crazy uncle that be trying to school you with facts but in a crazy way, and then the first one to get into a fight. now, gear switch. It;s interesting how Sauce felt like the magazine did him kinda dirty with that cover. It reminded me of Terry Crews and Dave Chappelle and others pointing out how out of nowhere, companies, execs will try to have you do something weird. That being his last photo for the session, ends up on the cover. Can't trust none of these big companies. Don't sell your soul Sauce, material wealth will never replace self rule.

  8. Great Show like always!!! Can you guys discuss the Affirmative Action ruling and what if it persuaded the 4 and 5 Star Black Athletes to attend HBCU’S? How would the TV Revenue look for the MEAC and SWAC if these Conferences provided “WAY”better Football and Basketball Games?

  9. As a life long 24 y/o jet fan I can honestly say this kid is the best thing to happen to us since revis. Real humble and clearly has ten toes firmly on the ground. Respect 💪🏼

  10. Awareness on and off the feild. Thats whats up. Dolphin fan here but i fuk with sauce. He's legit, im routing for him. The other 15 games of the season of course

  11. The league would be crazy if they all had that kind of humble swag about themselves like sauce does!

  12. Seems like a great kid! Hope he kills it this year… all games except when they play the Bengals!! 😂

  13. When a YOUNG star can rock a T shirt in a interview and still have swag. He's definitely grounded and humble. Its a blessing to see.

  14. I just want y’all to change the title from “The 7th Mile” to just 7 Mile 😂

  15. Can y’all start a tee shirt – sweatshirt – hat apparel listing on the shows? I have been trying to find a couple of Ryan’s things and have been unsuccessful.
