  1. How do these affect swing weight? I’d imagine that they throw off the balance point of the club.

  2. Doing more content regarding golf research papers would be really cool!

  3. Might have to try this, the back of my left hand is in a lot of pain swinging a club, I’ve just chalked it up to the side effect of a lefty playing right handed.

  4. Hi Pete great video and I know you don't usually reply because of the amount of comments but please can you say what grips you are using and where to get them from please as there are a lot of variants when typing in Jumbo Max grips thanks Andy

  5. I have arthritis (I'm only 37 🙈) in my wrist and changing to midsize grips has helped me play pain free most of the time.

  6. How is the durability though? Do they last like Winn grips where If you play regularly they won’t make it half a season?

  7. I have arthritic hands so I switched to the jumbomax grips. Size small on the woods xs on everything else. There was an adjustment period but now I’m hitting the ball better than I have in a long time and no more pain. The flip side is I tried to hit a club with a standard midsize grip and it felt so wrong.
All that said it’s golf what ever works best for you run with it. We live in a time where there is so much amazing equipment just play what works best for you and have fun. Cheers

  8. I think I should try these cause I’ve always hated how small the club grip feel in my hand it makes me squeeze harder cause it feels like I’ll lose the club then everything tightens then I shank it. I think it being smaller than any other sports handle I’ve ever used is the problem. I never thought about it till now. I have mod grips and they still fell small

  9. Hi Peter how about a challenge on the top 4 south courses PARKSTONE, FERNDOWN,BROADSTONE & REMEDY OAK. Maybe you and another You Tube golfer like Matt Fryer,Rick Shells, James Robinson or even better all of you . A mini tournament. ⛳⛳ let me know your thoughts 👍🏻Keep up the great work 👍

  10. I switched from midsize to jumbo grips about three years ago, and I love them. I don't know how much bigger the JumboMax girls are than the jumbo GolfPride grips, but I will never go back to midsize, and like absolutely hate regular grips.

I may give these a look.

  11. For every problem, there are always easy or easier solutions. You have wirst pain, so find a competent golf trainer who can find the issue your golf swing why it may cause your pain. If it doesn‘t work, put the work in the gym to become stronger, more resilient and have more confidence in your body. If not get the right grip thickness where you finger of you lead hand barely touch the palm. In most sports, a bit thicker is better against pain. In the end you can always grip your normal sized grip in the palm. Only reason you would play those grips is because you would like it. So feel free to try if you want to.

  12. I have large hands I use to cut wood and lift heavy things. Before, I would be in massive pain a hour after 18 holes from trying to wrap my bear claws around my pencil sticks for 4+ hours.
I just switched to these very same grips (Extra Large + 3/8") and after one of my better games in a long time, my hands don't hurt at all. Took a little bit to adjust my swing, but felt comfortable in my club control and finally felt confidence in my grip.
    10/10

  13. I changed to jumbo grips several years ago, and it was the first time my clubs felt normal to me when swinging the clubs. Having played tennis and baseball for many years, I see that as why the jumbos seem normal to me.

  14. Switched to Winn oversize dri tac 2.0 and love them. Eliminated Elbow pain and helped me to square the face better. Any weirdness in the size is irrelevant, as you get used to them pretty quick. Could never go back to standards!

  15. I have them on my driver but not 4 long lost a lot of power 50 yards I felt scared to swing hard because it felt I could let go of the driver through impact lol

  16. I've only returned to golf after a 33 year hietus, I've now been playing for 6 months, but it took me 3 of those months to work out that standard grips were absolutely killing me! I bought a set of used clubs that just happened to have oversize jumbo grips on them, and it transformed my game. Coupled with Jack Nicklaus's grip method mentioned in Golf My Way, I couldn't go back! I'm now intrigued by these even larger ones…

  17. Definitely seems meant for people with larger hands possibly. I am 5"7 and although I have a strong grip, I feel like my bigger friends would feel more comfortable with this rather than me. Never know until I try though

  18. Based on your latest scramble with Rick Shiels.. they have been fantastic

  19. I've recently developed "trigger finger condition" in one finger on my left hand. Interestingly enough one of the pros at my club suggested that thicker grips could be the way to go BUT only after medical treatment was done [if that was needed]. I'll be keeping the thick grips in mind…

  20. I wonder, most of my life I’ve played field hockey and just the past year I’m playing more golf and the wrists are actually problematic sometimes. I wonder… I might need to give this a go.

  21. I have these grips on my irons P-4 and so far I love them. I have traditional golf pride grips on my driver and wedges but in jumbo. I won’t change the wedges but might go to the larger Str8 tech on my driver

  22. I just switched to slightly larger grips this year. My hands are probably slightly below avg size however i feel better using the larger grips. Felt weird at first but i’ve gotten used to it. Whats really weird is my driver is still normal grip and so are my wedges. Will probably swap them out next year.

  23. Do you think this will help with the fingers as well? I use an interlock grip and I jam my pinky around 2 to 3 times a round. I don’t know why this happens and wouldn’t mind trying to stop this pain.

  24. Is this just your experience using this brand of grips or a suggestion to consider trying something larger?

  25. I am a regular watcher of your channel and I believe that your are striking your clubs more freely without intensive speed and power, as before.

  26. I tried my friends massive grips on his wedges. Afterwards I went straight to the proshop and did the same to mine. Zero regrets. Considering upgrading the entire bag to larger grips.

  27. I switched to Jumbo max (XS superlite) over a year ago. It took some time to adjust, But now I am very happy I took the time to change. No hand pain and they are very comfortable to play.

  28. I've always used the Lamkin Crossline Oversize grips, so those may not be much of a stretch for me. The standard grips feel like trying to squeeze a pencil.

  29. My brother’s buddy left an Apex UT 24 at the house one day with a big grip and as soon as I felt it they just feel great. I feel like especially drivers and woods and I’ve always wanted to try putting them on the entire set.

  30. I worked with a shovel in my hands for 25 years. I got a used set of clubs that had fatty grips on them and I immediately put some in a second set of mine.
I think they're fantastic for old people who've been affected by gravity and general self-inflicted abuse.
Now, if I had something for the arthritic hip & spine maybe I'd quit pulling everything that isn't a 3 wood.

  31. I totally think that they might benefit me. I have big hands and it always feels like the grips are too small on my clubs

  32. I think this would appeal to people with larger hands and who weight lift like myself. I lose feel with traditional grips and if i can gain that feel in the larger grips, im all for that.

  33. As someone who plays a lot of golf with Jumbo Max grips, I can 100% agree there is a learning curve. But i will never go back to standard grips.

HOWEVER, club fittings are so challenging now.

  34. Pete, do your Shot Scope tags hold into the grips OK?

I have Arccos and they keep popping out, so afternsomething that hold in these grips

  35. The best shotmakers actually size down, even to women's grips.

  36. I think I’m developing some tendinitis in my wrist so swinging a club has been pretty painful. Worst part is making contact with the ground, so it makes me hesitant throughout my swing and messes with my game. Anybody have grip suggestions for small-medium hands?

  37. Pete – was the pain on a particular part of the swing ? I.e. takeaway, downswing, strikepoint ? I have recently been getting pain on the takeaway just wondering if yours was similar?
