The BEST IRONS IN GOLF (for every handicap!)

My top recommendations for the best golf irons you should be looking at based on your handicap! While ball striking can sometimes be better or worse than your handicap suggests, this gives a great starting point for anyone looking at what type of irons would be best for their game. 1. As someone who is looking to get a new set of irons this video is perfect especially because these days I have no idea what’s really good quality for players around my handicap

  2. I dont know who is editing your videos, but the transitioning and overlays are enough to give anyone an epileptic fit

  3. I am a high handicapper and I have the Cobra T-Rails. Yeah, they look a bit weird but they gave me back the confidence, I might actually enjoy golf and maybe get better. Awesome clubs for beginners and high handicappers.

  4. I'm a 8 handicap and I got custom fitted for my irons 3 years ago. The Titleist T-300 irons were the best all around, most consistent irons for me. Great clubs

  5. Pleased to see you recommend the Mizu 225 for 10-18 handicappers. Currently use the older version, the MP-20 HMB, and the similar Ping i525.

  6. 16 handicap currently, better than average ball striker tho and higher swing speed, just got fitted for a set of P770’s and absolutely loved them, just need to decide on grips now

  7. I'm 3 handicap and use hackers irons , wedges , that's different , good driver / hybrid , wedges and putter , how many 4 irons do you stiff ., not me

  8. im probably still in the 20+ handicap range (i dont have an official handicap) and i'm using callaway x2 hot irons.. is this a decent choice anyone?

  9. Im currently playing off 13, working my way towards single digits, and there's every chance I'll be buried with my i230s

  10. 5 handicap nd i use p790s. Thinking of trying the pro 225s. I will take all the help i can get. I got a buddy that plays pure blades. He his a great ball striker better than me but i score better.

  11. I love that you went Nike! I just bought a set of the VR pro combos (set before vapour) and they're absolutely brilliant! Was previously using Ping i500 and didnt get on with how much of a trampoline the face was. Plus £185 is a bit more palatable than £1200+ for a new set with fucked up lofts 😂

  12. has anyone ever hit a knob of butter with a pillow?
I'm off 4.4 and use t100's and love them highly recommend – interest to test their new t150's

  13. I was fit into the Apex MB 21's and have to say even among the forged blades they feel and look over the ball better than any other option out there. I fell in love with them after the first swing, tbh.

  14. One iron I suggest for a mid to low handicap player is the callaway apex 21! Lovely iron only changed as I wanted blades

  15. I got fitted to the T300s a few years ago, and I LOVE them. I shot a 96 over the weekend. I can only imagine how much higher it would have been if I had the T100s

  16. Love the video Peter! I’m a 18ish handicapper playing 2018 cobra forgeTec one length black, and I’m planning soon to upgrade to hollow body (probably Ping i525) but I’ve been recommended to get even more forgiving clubs like a G430. I feel like going from forgeTec to G430 is almost a step down in trying to get better, compared to getting i525. Any thoughts?

  17. Wilson launchpad 2 irons are perfect for beginners, and alot cheaper than big brands, i love them

  18. One caveat I'd throw out there if you are basing your choice on handicap, is understand WHY you are at your handicap.
When I was around an 18, it wasn't my ball striking that was the problem. I just never saw a 3 putt i didn't like.
Once I got with a decent putting coach, i dropped to a 6 handicap. I was using Titleist AP2 the entire time.

So just adjust your scale accordingly.

  19. Would be an interesting idea for you to play 18 holes with each and see what the scoring difference for you as a great player would be.
