  1. Tried it today on the range (using a sleeve of balls instead of the 2×4) and the improvement in my ball striking was incredible! Thanks for this drill!!

  4. Why do you feel like you are releasing it much sooner? Seems like it should be later

  5. From the flailing I see on the range, golfers that chunk are simply not getting to their lead side early enough. Shift that pressure to the lead side as you go back to the top, then down and through. Moneyball.

  6. Just coming in steeper. This won't save most weekend hackers lol. They don't understand what your doing to begin with.

  8. I'm using a cardboard cereal box, lol, very helpful… non destructive for me the hacker

  9. I think it’s just me but I hate hitting a ball of the mat, practice swinging on a mat is okay but even when you hit fat shots off a mat it still goes okay.

  10. Another stupid drill which ignores every bit of sports science and learning theory, the task is to miss the wood, nothing to do with the shot, that's incidental what's the task when the woods not there?

  11. I use a row of empty beer cans in place of a board (works pretty darn swell)

  12. The drill looks like it would be very helpful. I'm going to try it in my backyard with my hitting net. But I think I'm going to use a pool noodle instead of a 2 x 4. I just don't trust myself that much. 🙂

  13. I would rather understand what he was actually doing that made him chunk it. That is more helpful in understanding what is cause and result.

  14. haven't tried it yet, but i love the simplicity. definitely throwing a 2X4 in the trunk for my next time at the range.
