Yes Alcaraz is a very good player… but the way media portray him.. belies the talent that he's faced with.. the kind of talent that could have clearly beaten him.
I love watching tennis.. and enjoy a good game. Even though Alcaraz certainly provides when it comes to ability; I personally can not stand the constant looking at his box.. nodding.. looking for approval.. the fist in the air after every point won.. the "vamos".. it's a ploy to sidetrack his opponent.. a psychological war which I think is unnecessary, silly and at the same time annoying as hell and it makes me root for his opponent – whoever it may be – by default. Same with Andy Murray; still a great player.. but the constant shouting, whining… just .. awful.
Also, the grunting of Alcaraz.. are we looking/listening at women's tennis here? To me that really takes away the pleasure of watching a whole match of his. Federer.. Djokovic.. they're more reserved (though also able to do some shouting).. and convinced of their abilities and the possibility of winning.
Jarry really has the potential to become really really good, wish him all the best and a different outcome next time he plays this Spanish grunter.
