  1. Need a brave call from the coach and leave him out until he can fix it up. He's doing them more harm than good.

  2. Spot on Lordo harry had a chance to take 3 simple marks by hes standard in the last quarter alone but he's confidence is now at an all time low. He needs to go to work and ash Hansen is useless to him

  3. We (Melbourne) are so $hit, playing mid table football that we’ll play McKay and Curnow back into accurate goal kicking form.

10.2 between them with 90% of the goals coming from 20-30 meters out directly in front. You watch. We are a disgrace. Lever and May especially, taking turns to be severely out of form. 🤡😂

  4. The biggest issue with Carlton is our players have 0 respect for the jumper and play with no effort and passion whatsoever. This is why people like Harry refuse to receive help and train better. It's a culture issue, and it's so upsetting to watch this team play every week knowing we just suck.

  5. Carlton's draft history:

2003: Andrew Walker (Pick 2), who was good player for Carlton standards, was a decent forward / half back flanker during his career however what can you say he achieved except for GOTY in one year. Complete waste of a pick. Compare that to David Mundy (Pick 19) who almost certainly had a better career and was one of the reasons for Fremantle's resurgence.

2004: Jordan Russell (Pick 9), who was a fringe player for his whole career and continually was in and out of the team. He wasn't played in his natural position but tried to force multiple moves back to his native South Australia so didn't really have any heart in playing for Carlton. Compare that to Mark LeCras (Pick 37), who had almost certainly a much better career when Carlton were screaming for a small forward.

2005: Marc Murphy (Pick 1), who was captain of the blues but one of the most underwhelming captains of all time it has to be said. Hasn't done anything special except accidentally show his balls after scoring a goal. Compare that to Scott Pendlebury (Pick 5), getting claims as the greatest player ever in the most famous AFL team ever.

2005: Josh Kennedy (Pick 4), who got traded in the Judd trade and turned into the greatest forward of the 2010s at West Coast. Given they could have used Pick 1 on Pendlebury, imagine if they used this pick on Shannon Hurn (Pick 13), Grant Birchall (Pick 14), Travis Varcoe (Pick 15) or even Matthew Stokes (Pick 61).

2006: Bryce Gibbs (Pick 1), who played 100 odd games as an average player and eventually went back to Adelaide. Carlton were in discussions with Joel Selwood (Pick 7), but they chose against it because they "didn't want someone who was prone to injuries", considering Selwood had a junior history of knee issues.

2007: Matthew Kreuzer (Pick 1), which was VERY IRONIC considering he was one of the most injury prone players of all time, and Selwood turned out to be arguably the greatest captain the game has ever seen. Not much else needs to be said here. Compare this to Trent Cotchin (Pick 2), Patrick Dangerfield (Pick 10), Alex Rance (Pick 18), Scott Thompson (Pick 37), who all had much better careers as you know.

2008: Chris Yarran (Pick 6), who could run…but not really much else. Compare that to Steele Sidebottom, fresh of a best-on-ground 10 goal performance in the TAC grand final and clearly proficient 50+ metres on both legs…who Carlton let slip to Pick 11. They could have also picked Daniel Rich (Pick 7), who was clearly ready for AFL from his first ever game.

2009: Kane Lucas (Pick 12), a complete nobody who played under 50 games. They could have picked Daniel Talia (Pick 13), Nat Fyfe (Pick 20), Jack Gunston (Pick 29), Luke Ball (Pick 30), Max Gawn (Pick 34).

2010: Matthew Watson (Pick 18), who was known for kicking the ball long and that's about it. They could have picked Isaac Smith (Pick 19), Luke Parker (Pick 40) or even Paul Puopolo (Pick 66).

2011: Josh Bootsma (Pick 22), who got sacked from the club after 14 games for being a nonce. Tory Dickson, one of the most accurate goal kickers of all time and a key player of the Bulldogs 2016 premiership, was drafted at pick 57 that same year.

2012: Troy Menzel (Pick 11), who played under 50 games and was eventually traded back to Adelaide. Could have picked Brodie Grundy (Pick 18), who would have sorted out their consistent rucking issues with Kreuzer being the injury prone oversized lump that he was turning out to be.

In 2013, they drafted Patrick Cripps, and well, he may be a Brownlow medalist but he's 28 now and still hasn't played in a single finals match, so his career is ultimately slightly underwhelming.

2014: Blaine Boekhorst (Pick 19), who played under 30 games and was eventually delisted. Other players they could have drafted include Touk Miller and Brayden Maynard (Picks 29 and 30 respectively).

2015: Jacob Weitering (Pick 1), never lived up to his promise. Clayton Oliver (Pick 4), Darcy Parish (Pick 5), Daniel Rioli (Pick 15) would have been better picks.

2015: Harry McKay (Pick 10), key forward who can't kick straight. Could have had Nathan Broad (Pick 66).

2015: Charlie Curnow (Pick 12), who I have to give credit because he's turned his whole career around and is currently top 2 key forwards in the AFL. That being said, for the majority of his early career he was very injury prone and he's ultimately going to have a very underwhelming career at this rate. Could have had a third chance at a key defender called Nathan Broad (Pick 66).

2016: Sam-Petrevski Seton (Pick 6), who wanted to leave back to WA almost as soon as he arrived. Could have had Todd Marshall (Pick 16), Tim English (Pick 19), Shai Bolton (Pick 29) among others.

2017: Paddy Dow (Pick 3), who looks likely to leave as he's just not good enough for Carlton's team at the moment and can't cut it at AFL level. Could have taken LDU (Pick 4), Aaron Naughton (Pick 9), Zac Bailey (Pick 15), Sam Taylor (Pick 28) or Bailey Fritsch (Pick 31).

2017: Lochie O'Brien (Pick 10), who is currently on the rookie list because he is dogshite. Could have picked any number of the previous later picks instead.

In 2018, they picked Sam Walsh, who is one of their shining lights, and he will most likely become the best player from his draft class, but it still would have been interesting to see someone like Max King (Pick 4), Ben King, (Pick 6), Bailey Smith (Pick 7) or Zak Butters (Pick 12), to see how they would have gone.

2019: Brodie Kemp (Pick 17), who has been underwhelming his whole AFL career so far. They could have picked Sam De Koning (Pick 19), and then both brothers may have actually been able to do something together which would have been a beautiful story.

They didn't pick any first rounders in 2020, because of the Adam Saad trade. Adam Saad has been underwhelming his entire career and his highlight is the crowd saying boom when he kicks the ball.

The Zac Williams and Adam Cerra trades in 2021 meant that Carlton did not pick anybody in the first or second round. Adam Cerra has been a decent contributor for his price however Zac Williams has been an always-injured, over-paid lump that can't break into their first team.

You can't feel any sympathy for them, they have drafted like absolute crap.

  6. Thank you Mathew Loyd. Finally someone has said what I've been saying for a while now. Plugger didn't move sideways at all. He dropped the ball from as low as possible, keeping as still as possible, picking out a target behind the goals. He ran straight to where he was kicking the ball and kicked straight through the ball. Little wonder he is the all time leading goal kicker. We couldn't pay him enough to get him at Princes park to show him and the others there to kick for goal correctly. Carlton would win most of their games.

  7. King fixed his goal kicking watching this exact segment. I feel like i'm living in Deja Vu. Hopefully Harry watches along to kick more pies.

  8. Theres a saying in motorbike riding circles – where the mind goes the body follows, if under stress you are looking at the tree you want to miss, your body takes you on course to the tree. Same in football, pushbike riding, bowling in cricket, tennis. Unfortunately the expression on McKay when he is going for goal looks like he is trying to talk himself around, almost in panic. If he is man enough to take advice then it should be relatively easy to fix.

  9. Harry's action is the result of over-correction.
He has the same problem as Joe Daniher, as Lloyd said "chasing the ball".
McKay's kicks are going left and right which basically means he has no total idea on how to kick the ball.
Being a leftie he needs to watch videos of a bloke called Mark Bayes who played for the swans during in 80's & 90's possibly the best left foot kicking action in the last 30 years.

  10. A professional afl key forward that cant kick a 30m drop punt, embarrassing, he reminds me of travis cloke

  11. Id like to see a breakdown on Hipwoods kicking from the lions, Hes a good tall for marking, can tackle, can spoil but desperately needs help to kick accurately. I dont like the feeling of getting excited over a mark in front of goals and then realising oh its hipwood. Im not just saying this because we lost to adelaide, id still be asking the same if we were undefeated.

  12. Mate my nine year old son said all the same things as Lloydy. Its laughable that Mckay cant work this out himself.

  13. As Jason Dunstall (1254 goals) said on Front Bar back in 2021 – " i don't understand why some of them have no routine whatsoever. They run to the point post and kick it there. When there 15-25 out on a 45 degree angle…plenty of space to kick a drop punt". Harry McKay MUST get one on one coaching from Dunstall or Lloyd.

  14. Ur all dancing around the problem he can b taught 2 kick he can b taught 2 kick straight but there is 1 thing holding him back. He can’t b taught.

  15. Get recruited as a goal kicker and have to learn how to kick goals hahaha. Can't mark at the moment either.

  16. Pretty basic stuff. Weird an AFL forward is kicking as he is and can’t sort it out. And who are the forward coaches? All the money poured into coaching staff.

  17. Carlton really has been useless since they stopped being allowed to buy premierships

  18. He always does this dumb superstitious ball flip with one hand and decides whether e snaps or punts. HE NEEDS TO hold it with both hands look at the goals and work on his ball drop He looks like he cannot make a choice of what's comfortable and all this because he has no consistency of set shot or process

  19. Clearly what Mckays doing isnt working……but hes giant ego rejects any help offered…🤡
