  1. Interesting. Will give it a go… Incidentally Andy, you've finally worn me down and I've swapped out the 4 iron for a 5 hybrid. If it all goes to pot, I'm blaming you!!

  2. Thanks Andy it's a good tip and I'll try it out. Makes sense to start the swing from where you want to bottom out.

  3. Straightest I've seen you hit it. I've tried the same thing and found success as well. It's the most helpful tip I've found to help me with my slice/fade off the tee.

  4. Great tip Andy. I saw this a few weeks ago from another YT’r but I’d forgotten it. Thanks mate

  5. looks cool…will give this a try on Sunday….makes sense….i'll report back my findings…. cheers from Vulcan Canada

  6. At set up, is the driver face slightly open as you slide it back on the swing arc or are you sliding & squaring up the face back to the start/target line but just further back? Sounds like the later which would help close the face as it gets to the ball which would give you less fade but just wanted to check to see what you were feeling. Loving the work as always 👌🏼

  7. I also wached this tip from Alex's page. And I"ve tried it .. with the way my swing is, it worked great, been fairly consistent with hiting the center of the club face with the drive. One thing I recall him saying was to line up the toe of the driver with the center of the ball .. along with having the club backed up a bit.

  8. This technique was introduced to me by Shawn Clemens a Canadian teaching pro and I haven't changed in twenty years. I hit about 75% of fairways.

  9. This series is extremely beneficial (especially for those of us just beginning to form the “habits” that will inform our future play). As such I hope it’s the kind of series you return to from time to time, again and again. Great work as always.

  10. I can tell you this works, i am an average golfer driver swing speed 75 – 85. Average drive distance 200-210 yrds when I am swinging with this set up distance increase is 10 to 15 yrds. Try it !

  11. I’ll definitely give it a try Andy because mt tendency is to a fade. I really like this series of videos. At the end of the season you could recap the top 3 tips that helped your game!

  12. Omg it bloody works, just been out and was hitting the middle of the fairway! Let's hope its the same for tomorrow's comp! 👍😁🇮🇲👌

  13. Once again thank you I went to the practice area today and the first drive left me stunned I've been struggling as late but this drill wow ball after ball cheers Andy

  14. I saw this on Rahm's shorts. I have been experimenting with this for a little over 2 months. You will need to figure out how far you need to be back 1 to 10 inches. I figured my distance and easily pick up 20 yards on my Driver. Smashing drives that are right down the fairway.

  15. I stumbled onto this same tip at the range trying to cure a slice and it absolutely works. Broke 100 for my first time this week and today shot 95 on a tight course so it’s a keeper for me.

  16. I haven’t seen Alex’s video, but an advantage of this is that you have to get your body through the shot, with a square club face otherwise you will top it. That’s why you’ve stopped fading it Andy. It did the same for me.

  17. I saw that tip posted on YT years ago. Elliot Is just parroting someone else…

  18. Another brilliant tip👍👍
interestingly Shawn Clement (Wisdom in Golf) has been advocating this driver setup position for over a decade

  19. been doing this for 3 weeks now, been smashing Driver like i did 20 years ago.
barely touched a mid iron for 3 weeks.
    It's Driver, wedge, putt😂

  20. Recently watched this video Andy and been on the course this morning to experiment. Wow, what a transformation to my driving. I found that putting the Driver approx. 8" further back after taking my normal stance has given me higher ball flights and gained about 20yds.
Keep up these beneficial and informative tips to us handicap golfers.

  21. great video that makes perfect sense! I plan on giving this a try because I struggle with to much spin off the driver.

  22. If you pull your right foot back a bit and tilt your shoulders back a bit with this you will hit massive bomb draws 💣💣💣

  23. OMG! My driver had been so bad lately it made me want to quit the game…this absolutely worked for me, thank you!

  24. Thank you thank you!! I adopted the 2 head further back on the last round I played and went from consistently fade to slice to straight with a slight fade and gained 30+ yards as I was squaring the club face
    Thank you for this video

  25. This is how the legendary bow Norman set up with all these clubs. Going to give it a try. I love these type of videos.

  26. Have now tried it and it really works. 10-20 yds extra distance. Had to get used to the extra draw but now all sorted!

  27. Yeah this works! I learned to do this from watching Steve Johnston PGA on YouTube over a year ago. AE was not the first so give credit where credit is due.
