  1. Idea for a future show. Is pga team golf something core golf fans want? How would teams be chosen? Would there be a "draft" or would some teams be really overpowered? Would a Callaway guy be on the same team as a TaylorMade golfer? I would have some interest in team competition in special events, but to have a team concept going on within a normal event just doesn't interest me. It feels to me like they are trying to appeal to people who don't watch, and probably won't watch. Much like baseball speeding things up to attract people who don't like the game as it was.

  2. All of Jays comments and negativity towards International Tours/fans like LIV and USA allied countries like Saudi Arabia – suggest that a long term medical leave might be in everyone’s best interests. We all certainly want Jay to recover but at a safe distance to protect the LIV and PGA tour players and fans. Good luck Jay. If this happened in Russia – likely Jay’s health problems like others – might have been from falling out a window in a mysterious way.

  3. I believe dunne/herlihy read the writing on the wall, competing with the Saudi's is a lose-lose; if the pga doesn't merge, it will continue to lose market share to the deep-pockets of the LIV tour, so they told JM "we need to merge" to stem the bleeding. JM has taken most of the heat for good reason; firstly, the "Saudi's are immoral" stance of the last two years has tainted the PGA's ability to do business with PIF, secondly, "coaching" a few top players to follow this stance was bad branding per the players making them into "political" spokesmen, and thirdly, keeping the membership in the dark was just bad policy – the players are the pga. Finally, if the pga/liv merger continues, I do not see congress going beyond the hot-air of just "we're looking into it." The Saudi's have too much clout in congress to be thwarted.

  4. Jay's in good health I echo that, no one wants someone to be in poor health. I think though he has to answer a fair few questions about his 180° turn. As the commissioner he has to provide answers. Pga players not being happy is not a good move. Compensation for the PGA players that didn't risk a move to Liv shouldn't even be on anyone's agenda. They didn't take the risk and therefore got nothing and should continue in that vein.

  5. Why the players need compensation when they decided they didn’t need the money. They wanted the “legacy”. If u want legacy don’t take the $$$ then. It’s like holding your shares and not cashing out when it was at its peak and holding out but now it’s worth nothing and expecting to get the peak $$$ again.
Didn’t take the risk, got rewarded with WGR points, PIP, “Legacy” etc.
Now they want the $$$ too for not taking the risk of losing all of that. The hypocrisy that the LIV players got for taking the $$$ but now it’s the players who didn’t take the $$$ to do so with backlash is hypocritical

  6. The PGA is a monopoly and was going to lose in court. That's it. So Monahan had to make a concession to end the litigation. Sooooo your video touches on none of this and highlights the unfairness to the players that stayed loyal. Do these guys not make enough money I mean give me a break. Good for Rory and the rest of the guys that stayed loyal hopefully you sleep better at night but also good for Dustin and the boys that went to LIV, they got a bag, a big bag, and that's because they knew the PGA was taking advantage of there players and they had the balls to walk away, knowing that the PGA was,and let's be clear it continues to be a monopoly, and that they had a good case of proving it.
It's the American way right. Capitalism at its best or maybe not. Your video is childish.

  7. Dude can’t take the heat for bad leadership and I’m supposed to feel sorry for him? Sounds like he is weak as a leader. This deal most likely will fail the way it’s being handled now. With no formal framework Congress and regulators will not allow it. Sounds more and more like a bunch of leaders of the Tour have smelled big PIF salaries like the Pros who left for LIV Golf and are ready to capitalize on them.

  8. Hypothetically if LIV guys return no penalty should be applied to them. Nor should a bonus be given to the guys who "remained loyal". Further more once the ranking balances back out and some guys fall out of the top ranks and lose their ride on both sides you better have a back up plan if you decided your life goal was to have a career with word "play" in it. Jay Monahan has given the PGA a black eye when it was never necessary. Greg had to pull top talent. Greg even structured the first run not to conflict with other events. Im sure I look biased but im just calling it how I see it.

  9. well jay now your comming back its an ideal to show the pga books theres a lot that needs explaining we all want to know where the money came from to give the players large increases and where the money went from the last few years thats all

  10. LIV London sold out tickets all 3 days, LIVGOLF is going nowhere but up. I expect to see numerous pgatour and dp world tour players sign up to LIV season end and perhaps even a couple of extra teams.

  11. Said it before and I'll say it agian. I don't blame Jay for agreeing to the deal, he basically hand no choice. PGA were screwed.

His mistake was picking the fight in the first place and they way he fought the fight. A deal was inevitable at some point so all the inflamatory rhetoric was going to bit him in the ass, which is exactly what has happened.

  12. 100% not an illness cause the day Liv news broke he was unable to comment do to some mysterious illness. 100% BS it was all a hiding tactic to get him out of the spotlight so didnt have to answer questions. Just like how they hid the Budlight Marketing Lady

  13. It is fishy to announce a future date for return. If he is well today, why not return today? If he is not well today, how does he know he will be well on the 17th?

  14. Jay has mismanaged the tour the last five years and let the tour become stale. He was negotiating with Saudi authorities for money and wanted much more than they wanted to give him. They probably knew he was a dishonest hypocrite. When LIV started he used anyone he could to destroy LIV. He lied to tour players and didn’t lookout for them. He is not trustworthy enough to run a lemonade stand and needs to go.

  15. Jay, like any other American, deserves his right to privacy, especially his health. Given that, it was suspicious that he dropped out of sight just before the U.S. Open. Whatever condition he had took only three weeks to recover; which rules out many health conditions. It's not uncommon for high-profile news targets to suddenly take ill just long enough for the news cycles to wash over the increasing heat.

  16. Any head of a huge organisation is like a politician! They u turn, deceive and are hypocrites when it suits, either to manipulate members , share holders etc, or to put them in a better negotiating position with someone else!

  17. Jay's the scond banana and will be treated as such buy the Saudi's. He is the Saudi's fall guy and I am sure it has affected his mental health. Jay is installed as the PGA tour comissioner but the question will be be doe he take his orders from the Players or the Saudi's.

  18. Get rid of that hypocritical stooge of a commissioner. It hurts to say it but every major league will be saudi owned in 10 years (look at Football /Soccer ) in Europe. I'd say wake up and smell the coffee, but it's already too late. EU is the first to go, Canadistan is a strong second and the States are not far behind. Sad BUT True. Good luck to all, and don't expect me to feel sorry for multi-millionaire players that want a bigger piece of the pie (especially top 50 ranked ).

  19. I don’t think he was sick. He shit the bed. The players don’t want him. He must resign for the good of the PGA and a successful merger.
