Jokic can shoot, rebound, and is a decent defender. He isn't a shot blocker but he contest a majority of shots near him.

There is truth to this when he has to become a volume shooter Denver's record is about .500. The other guys aren't hitting and the energy on D lacks. When they are cutting and getting easy shots and 3s and dunks he gets to be the bailout shot from the middle. When he takes 15-20 shots and tons of assists they usually win.
He shows that athleticism is only part of the game. How you play this game between your 2 ears is his biggest skill.

The league is going away from the 7 footer posting up. But u lucky to have a unicorn big like joker or Embiid teams have trouble stopping it. Kinda like NFL not running league and defense built on speed but you got special run game like Philly or Baltimore it's hard to stop them.
Funny thing is teams see warriors and start shooting 40 3s but don't have Stef. Like NFL throwing 50 times but don't have Mahomes or Burrow. Forget what's the new shiny thing play to your strengths.

The truth is you can’t shut down his teammates anymore. Jokic can’t average 50 a night but he can easily average 30 pts and 10 assists. His teammates are more difficult to stop.
