Before watching this I'm gonna guess it's Buzzz, Mako3, Fuse, Origin and Hex.
Edit. 4/5 and the fifth was an honorable mention, not bad.
Clash disc peach 🍑 is top mid for beginner
DX stingray?
The new MD1 ouperforms the mako3 imo, and the plastic is also more durable
mind bender? why is it not the list?
It seems not enough people have tried the paradox out…
MAKO3 is a great beginner disc. I recently bought one for a friend of mine that wants to get into the sport. I think he'll do fine with the mako
Love the Mako on the list. I throw the MD1 which is basically a discmania Mako, but the difference in stability between he Mind Bender and other runs is substantial.
Where’s the Frisbee Club Buzzz SS peps at?!?!?
Geez…… you had me until you said Buzzzzzzzzz! 😅 It was like watching a great movie, with a horrible ending.
Got a pizza throwjoes pizza dyed toro. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Traded my Buzzz for a Cloud Breaker 3. 💪🏻
Love the Mako3. Gateway Element also is a great starter mid. For that matter, it’s a great disc for any disc golfer!
MD1
Seriously people voted for the Hex as a beginner disc? 😆😂🤣 That is laughable.
The Innova Roc3. That is great beginner disc. My father got a full flight out of it and he loved what he saw. Grab one in a lighter weight for a beginner and they are gonna have some fun.
Everyone should have a Buzzz. Until they learn how to throw and switch to Rocs.
Göte Gang represent.
I agree with all of this for the most part. I would like to add the Buzzz SS as it is my favorite midrange to this day. It teaches a pushing hyzer, hyzer flip straight shot, and turnover as the player grows.
Idk, on the buzzz. I throw forehead for the most part and everyone said get a buzzz but it sucked. Zone and cayman for overstable, xxx and banshee for distance, and the kaxe z for utility. Buzzz never felt good and an just anhyzered then buried into the ground. Maybe I’ll come back to it as I improve my backhand but I hate a disc I can only throw one way.
The buzzz isn't as stable if you pick the right plastic. Throwing that cryztal sprakle plastic is way overstable. Throw an ESP buzzz or Big Z buzzz and it turns all day
I kinda regret trading you that pink fuse @reid
Good list, no surprises other than no Tursas. I bag Buzz and Mako3 but one of my absolute favorite midranges is Westside Discs Warship. Gets quite undestable after a heavy use, so usually i have two in bag with a fresh and older one.
Buzz is only the most famous if you have never heard of the roc
The Discraft Archer and Meteor are great discs for beginners. They're not as popular as the Buzz but more beginner friendly. I have a Mako 3 but I can throw a Roc just as well. I like the feel of a Bead in a Mid-Range disc.
Jester Discs is brand new, only has two discs out currently, the “Love” and the “Peace Train”, putter and midrange respectively. The premium plastic Love is the best throwing putter I’ve tried in 10 years of playing. Ridiculous glide, dead straight, forehand or backhand, and not touchy at all. The Peace Train midrange is a better feeling Mako 3.
How is the SOL not on here. It is seriously one of the easier disc to throw.
M4 is definitely a must have to practice throwing straight. Handles head winds better than the buzz. Fantastic to understand hyzer and anhyzer angles. 500 plastic lasts forever. Should be on the list before an origin or shark or fuse.
I personally bag a big z buzzz, lat 64 fuse and claymore, and a westside tursas. I lost my dx roc a few weeks ago in a pond unfortunately. I’ll eventually get a new one.
I’m also interested in getting a star mako 3. This was a great list but I feel like the buzzz isn’t necessarily beginner friendly, and that it overshadows the meteor which is a better choice for low arm speed.
The Cobra is the best. Y'all are just blind
love that TSA makes it in, but the hidden gem thats still a bit new for sure is the mana. Started out as a nice straight flyer, now that I've hit around 200-225ft its on the understable side, sometimes with an ever so slight fade back but not too often hard turn. Maybe was just nervous for my first sanctioned tournament or the wind or something, but the mana outperformed my current go to midrange the Crave that day so the love for it came back.
Jester Disc Golf Peace Train! Super straight. Hyzer flip. Super easy for a beginner!
