  1. Reminder. The golf media hacks had Homa as a favorite at the US Open. The USGA claimed Tayler Gooch was not good enough to even play in his country's Open.

  2. PIF is the only reason that LIV ever got off the ground. They created an unstoppable force that damaged the PGA.
Now that the PIF owns the PGA, they likely want those great players back, restoring golf, to its former glory.
How does LIV survive, without that bottomless pit of cash?
When the PIF withdraws the massive financial support, that built LIV Golf, and those short term contracts all expire, where will that LIV Golf economy come from then?
The sponsors will follow the players. The players follow the money, and the PGA now has a new-found bottomless pit full of cash, to offer those great players upon their safe return to the PGA.
PIF owes nothing to LIV, or the players, going forward.
"Liking LIV Golf" will not keep it viable. Turning a profit, would be the only way to keep it going, but I have to assume that the players will follow the money, because they too, will soon owe nothing to LIV Golf.
As the "new owners of the PGA", it is in their own best interest that LIV players return, and everybody forgets about that whole, hostile take-over business.

  3. I really don’t know why nock talk s like this about LIv. College is team and stroke play all year. There are stroke play team events in the womens gome and junior team championships. The Olympics when it adds teams may have to be stroke play. Eventually hopefully the Olympics makes a match play team event. Well one individual. Week two team match play.

  4. I think Jake is right, Jay was "retired" with a medical issue, after taking the heat.

I expect an announcement in a month or two that he's leaving with a nice payoff .

I also think the next Commissioner will be a pander to the players. An agent, lawyer, media guy that they know and respect. (Though he'll be a pawn of the big cigars too, just like Jay)

  5. BBPG….don't know if you want to mess with it. (Chance of being banned, retribution etc). But, curious to see a dig on NLU. Not going to watch their BS., but see he is frequent guest now on corrupt shill Eisen show. I know nothing about that Kevin dude…but he seems sketchy AF. Like Deep state operative flunky. 😂

  6. I racked my brain all during this excellent video because the name Malnati was ringing a bell. No golfer came to mind, I had never heard of Peter Malnati. But still, Malnati…Then I recalled a trip to Chicago and the name Lou appeared, the delicious pizza of Lou Malnati. Peter who? Lou has more restaurants than Peter has FedEx cup points. Give me Lou, he will straighten this whole thing out.

  7. Even Azinger on national tv said serving in the tour player board was a waste of time, a complete waste of time and started laughing. That’s how those scrubs got on board.
I’m betting not a one player on board can read a balance sheet. In the meetings Dunne and his guys are way above the tour guys.
Why is the board meeting to discuss LIV and PIF if the board member from LIV and PIF not even there?!!DOC

  8. I was watching the replay of the 3rd round of the British Masters while Faldo was clowning along with LIV hater Tony Johnstone and when talking about the R.C., Faldo didn't mentioned one LIV player for the European team. He obviously does not understand what's going on with the R.C.

  9. Malnati is a follower, not a leader.
To go from McIlroy to Malnati as the tour spokesperson, it shows the PGA Tour is in serious trouble.

  10. Of course is about the money. Why do you think Chesson Hadley was asking for a PGA Tour Welfare Program handout?
The level of hypocrisy is astonishing.

  11. Faldo is correct, I don’t know if anyone who watches or cares about LIV golf tournaments. It’s a small niche within a fairly small niche sport. I’m against them joining with other tours, they made their bed. The PGA tour is the one tour that people have an interest in and the others just perhaps a passing one

  12. just 156 golfers get the opportunity to play PGA Tour events each week. 😂😂😂 I thought this must be affecting millions😂😂😂

  13. Why these Golf Channel dimbulbs like Chamblee, Lynch, McGinley, Hoggard, and Hack don't simply accept the reality of what's happened and just drop the bitterness and bile and move on is curious. Reality is the way things are, not the way you wish they were and the reality is that the PGA Tour has behaved terribly both against the LIV and bamboozling its own membership. Monahan was comfortable in his chair as Commissioner, surrounded by a board of sycophants and a membership he kept away from the curtain, like he was the "great and powerful Wizard of Oz." ("Wizard of Ponte Vedra" maybe?) LIV happened and he began a war he couldn't – and, wouldn't – win and now the PGAT is virtually a chattel of the Saudi PIF and the PGAT has been shown to be a nest of hypocrites. But, these GC idiots keep talking as if the PGAT won the fight, that the LIV will cease to exist and any players who went to LIV will be punished for their transgressions, like heretics were punished by burning at the stake in Medieval times.

WAKE UP!!! His Excellency, Mr. Al-Rumayyan has the financing and will dictate what happens and, as LIV has been his pet project, it's not going anywhere. Any new PGAT Commissioner will have to pass muster with him and I expect the board to be shaken up also. And, I doubt if the players will be content to go back to the way things were; they will demand that their voices are heard and the PGA Tour will be a new and different entity. And I would also expect a future purge at the Golf Channel similar to what's happened at ESPN where the intransigently disparaging voices of Lynch, Hoggard, Chamblee, and others will be only a memory as NBC will make sure that no more disparaging words will be heard. Maybe then the GC can truly be a "Golf Channel" and not a source of old and worn PGA Tour propaganda.

PS You always provide a thought provoking, informative, and enjoyable video, BBPG, and this was no exception.

PPS I'm watching the LIV right now and I think the networks made a BIG mistake dumping David Feherty. Great stories, wonderful commentary.

  14. Way not just name this LIV GOLF fanboy cast. You lost me at Faldo. He JUST retired after 50 years in the game. You think he’s not connected?
And the European players on LIV are hated by their own players. Westwood, Garcia, Poulter, Stenson are old and past their prime. Henrik, how’s that Ryder Cup captaincy working out for ya?
