Is BALLAN Golf Course worth a visit?



45 minutes from Melbourne, on the way to Ballarat is the tiny but beautiful town of Ballan, not far from the town centre is one of the best value golf courses in the region, at $20 a round this course is well worth the drive and you’ll be surprised how great some of the holes are.

  1. Looks like a good track Trevor. Reminded me a bit of Woodend's 11th, that elevated tee shot to a postage stamp green. $20 is amazing value, a dollar a hole basically! And you're absolutely right; we have to support these country courses – there's no Saudi money making its way to Ballan any time soon, despite the noble sentiments of growing the game. The game is already grown in places like Ballan and we have to keep these courses alive. It's on the list. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  2. Great to see a review on my home club go their in spring and summer its even better the greens really come into their own. The long par 3s play more like par 4s. Great video as always and glad you enjoyed playing their 🙂
